Default Product Recommendations?

Ok so my curls are 3a/3b, fairly sure they are high porasity, fairly sure it is course, and dense, medium length. I'm new to CG but from what I've read highly porsity means my hair is in fairly bad condition (not surprised) and that mixed with the course-ness of my hair makes it harder to deal with? Haven't really tried a lot of curly products, anyone know what I should start with? Apparently High porasity needs protein, but course hair doesn't?

If you do a protein treatment, be sure you follow with a deep treatment the same time. You could try Curl Junkie's Beauticurls which has both protein and conditioner in it and follow it with a deep treatment. That way, you are getting a limited amount of protein and lots of deep conditioning to offset coarseness.

If you use other products, don't leave in the protein treatment for too long and leave in the deep treatment a long time. Hope that helps!

Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Experimenting with cones & sulfates while the dews are high. Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
