Drying Time Increasing?

Just noticed over the past 3 months that the drying time for my hair has increased, even on days that are 90 degrees and higher. Even when the humidity is low.

Normally it takes 30 minutes in the summer for my hair to dry. This summer, it took 4-5 hours. The day I timed it was on a day when it was 91 degrees. One day, it took almost 24 hours to dry. My hair was wet as on the day I cowashed, not damp as usual.

Dew point and humidity was up this year, but in my opinion, not enough to make this drastic of a difference.

Any ideas about this? Have you or are you experiencing the same situation? My hair still tangles easily though.

Porosity can affect drying time. Also, the number of products can affect drying time as well. For me, if I put 4 products on my hair, my hair will take almost 2 days if I style my hair sopping wet. If I style my hair while damp, it will take half a day to dry. Also consider the thickness of your products. A thicker product will increase drying time. Example, if I use la looks sports gel on my wet hair it will take almost 2 days to dry because that gel is thick. But if I use my curl activator gel (a thinner gel), my hair will take about 5 hours to air dry. Lots of things to consider. Hope this helps.
My hair's porosity is high. Good point about the products; however, I used products this summer that dry hair quickly, such as Mop Top Curling Custard and Miss Jessie's Jelly Soft Curls. I did use The Body Shop Cottonseed Curl Boost, which surprisingly dried quickly as well.

I tried the products with and without a leave-in and the drying time was about the same except for about 20 minutes when I used a leave-in.

When I use less product, I notice a drastic change in drying time. Also scrunching out excess water v. sopping wet hair makes a difference. I have low porosity hair & that takes decades to dry anyway. So how I style makes a difference in drying time.
As mentioned earlier, even with less product, my hair took longer to dry. When I placed a styling product on my hair, I place it on wet, but not damp or sopping wet hair. One time I placed the styling product on damp hair. About half of my hair was still damp the next morning.

Nothing's changed in the home; once we kick on the AC, we leave it at 73 degrees and don't touch it for the rest of the summer. In fact, this summer we were out of the house most of the time. Sat in offices, homes, been outside, etc. where the humidity was low at times. Still my hair didn't dry within that day. There were some humid days, but not as frequent as last years. The condition I'm referring to is when the humidity is low--26-46%.
