Better moisture with humectants or leave-in + sealant?

My hair needs to be moisturized daily by slightly wetting + leave-in + sealant.
However, if the dews are optimal for humectants, is using a leave-in w/ humectants more effective to moisturize porous/damaged hair?

Signature for smartphones:
3b, med/thick texture?, med-high density, porous/transitioning from heat-damage
Half-african @ Holland, just waist-length, loose 3b w/ 3c napes, med/high density, kinking hair

Goal: growing out to belly button length

Clarify: YTCar poo
Low poo: Harmonie Familie
Co&RO: Argan Care
LI: YTCar
Sealant: sunflower oil
Protein RO: Schwarzkopf anti-klit Co
Pre-wash: coconut or olive oil

: coconut oil, wash days, dew = 50s, 50-70% humidity
: low dews, rain, loose worn during night outs, benzyl alcohol
Yes indeed! If the dewpoints are between approximately 40-60, it is better to use a leave-in with humectants (glycering, honey, you name it). The humectants will help attract water (=moisture) to your hair. If the dewpoints are higher or lower, it is better to use a leave-in whitout humectants, but with anti-humectants (oils and/or butters). Take also your styler in consideration for humectants.

Sealing is probably more needed in either low and high dewpoints than it is in moderate dewpoints.

highlighted 3a hair. Fine strands, medium to high density. Probably high porosity. Growing uit bad layering and aiming for waist lenght!

Pre-poo: coconut oil
wash: CJ Daily fix or SheaMoisture Coconut&Hibiscus
RO + LI: different every time
Styler: CJ Pattern Pusha, CJ CIAB

dislikes: glycerin in low dews, scissor happy stylists, magnesium sulfate

^ Agree. Humectants are awesome for my hair in higher dews.. I seem to have the best hair in summertime.
2c-3a - coarse - normal-high porosity - high density - growing out to donate

NP/LP: KMF Whenever Conditioner/ YTCucs
RO/LI: Sevi Pumpkin Seed DC / CJ Argan & Olive Oil, KCKT, YTBbs
DT: Coconut Oil + scalp massage
OIL/STYLER: SM Elixir / KCCC
COLOR: henna, amla & indigo
Thanks for the answers

Etos, since you're also from Holland, do you know which CG-approved drugstore conditioner/stylers contain humectants, but no protein? (no gels for me, because that makes my whole hair too crunchy)

Some people use humectants in high dewpoints as wel (like sixelamy)!

Are you also from Holland?
I always buy conditioners from the internet actually, because there aren't really a lot of really good conditioners in the drugsstore in Holland in my opinion. I like the yes to cumcumbers (you can buy that at 'de tuinen'), but that hasn't got any humectants in it. You could add some honey to it tough.

I already have YTCarrots co. It has a great slip and is rich in emollients ^^

Edit: lol, I found out I already have a humectant-rich co, called Hema Natural co.
