Just a few questions...

Hello all I've been CG for quite a while but I still have a large frizz-and-poof factor. My hair is VERY thick, with a few different textures. (I'll include a picture.) My mom has agreed to pay for some sort of treatment for my hair. After talking to a stylist at Ulta today, I think I'm set on a Keratin treatment of some sort-- but she was straight-haired, so I just want to double-check with my curly friends. She also suggested an Anti-Curl treatment though, which I got last year and was satisfied with; though I don't think it lasted as long as it could have.
So, this begins what I need help with:
I want to keep my curls; I just want the frizz and poof gone, though if my curls were stretched just a LITTLE BIT, I'd be okay with that. I've seen pictures of girls' hair that turns out weird and nasty-wavy looking after Keratin treatments (that's the best way I can put it hahaha). Will this happen to me if I get a Keratin treatment? If so, I think I'll go with the Anti-curl again, though it didn't last that long, which may be because she didn't blow it dry or flatiron it.

Sorry for the long ramble-y post, but I'm trying to book the appointment a week before school starts on the 25th. I've included pictures of my hair dry and somewhat damp. Pleeeease reply!

Your curls are so pretty! But i know how you feel. Too much damn work! lol...but here's the thing your results will depend on a few things. Although most of us are happy with our BKT results, I don't think any of us were prepared for what happened to our curls after. You NEVER know what will happen. Will you keep your curls? I'm pretty sure you will, but i have to tell you when I got a BKT done at a dominican salon with a product straight from brazil my curls were like 80% eliminated and i have kinky tight tigh tight 3c/4a curls! It depends on the brand of product being used, how much is used, and how much heat is applied to your hair during the process. The short answer to your question is yes, you will retain your curl, but how much you'll never know until you do it.

I've decided to go ahead and get the Anti-curl treatment done, and a friend's mom of mine who is also a hair stylist will help me do a DIY Keratin treatment at home a few weeks later. I'm just not gonna be able to keep up with my hair this year what with AP/honors classes and whatnot. Hopefully this will help! I'll post picture results as soon as I can!
