3c BKT'ers

I'm thinkingg of getting this doneee ; but I want to know how the curls look ; after the BKT rather than when its straighttt . I'm afraidd my curls are going to be completely gonee or extra ; extraaa limp & blahh . It would be great if someone could post their hairr when its wet/curlyyy .

Do it yourself. I have 4a/3c hair and I could repost my pics for you but it would be pointless. Unless you are going to the same stylist who is using the same brand of bkt your results Will be different. The brand and how it's applied to your hair makes ALL the difference in your results. My 1st bkt was done by a caucaiaian stylist used to straight or slightly wavy hair. She used a bkt treatment that was too weak for my texture and it didn't take like at all. My second one was done by a dominican stylist and she took away 60% of my curl. The point I'm trying to make is that when doing this treatment you just have to jump in feet first. You will not know what you will get.

I got a BKT by Surface Hair and it took a lot of my curl out. I hate it. I can't wait for my curls to bounce back.

I naturally have 3c/4a curls, and it took me 3 DIY BKTs using QOD Max in a row in rapid succession to get my curls the way they look in my pics here. The first application did almost nothing to relax my curls. Still going strong 7 months after my last full-head application--probably a solid 3a/2c now. I think it has permanently relaxed my curls, which is fine with me--but, mind you, I did 4 BKTs within the first 3 months.

What's with all the extraaaa letterssss?

Good to know that you did 4 in a row - I was beginning to think that the QOD was never going to work for me - I've done 2 in 3 weeks and I was ready to try out a different BKT. After reading your experience I think I'll re-order and give it another shot.

Oh, yes, you don't even need to wait any more than the 3-day waiting period. Maybe give yourself a week between to see what the curls do first. But, I would keep doing them back-to-back until my curl pattern was where I wanted it. Now, I have to tell you that when I did my last full-head application back in Feb, my curls were so loose--probably a 2a--I was actually afraid that I had gone too far. They eventually came back to a 2c/3a, and that's where they have stayed since. I have not done another full-head application since Feb.

I had my first Marcia T. BKT 9wks ago and had my 2nd today. This 2nd treatment is definitely straighter looking than the first. I'm in the 4 day wait period now so I won't know for sure how cumulative it is till next week. However, I have a feeling I'll be waiting a little longer before I do a third. Just don't want to over do it..:-)

Sorry I didnt respond to this sooner but do you think you can post a clear-er picture ? sorry its hard to tell . & also hairguru do you have a fotki or can you post pictures as well . having a visual example would be alot of helpp ! thanks girls

I don't have a Fotki or anything like that, so I don't know. I don't post pics of my face here, and all of my good hair pics show my face. I'll have to see what I can come up with later tonight when I'm finished with dinner and dishes.

Ok, so I posted a new profile picture from a fabulous hair day. It said that the file failed to upload, but I see it posted there, so....

You'll have to go to my profile to view it. I'm only going to leave it up for a limited time. Hope it gives you a better idea. I'd say my hair is 3a/2c in the pic, down from 4a/3c originally.

I have 3c/4a hair, and I was wondering how permanent is this? I don't know much aboout keratin treatments, but I'm considering straight styles for the winter...but I eventually want my natiral curls back.
