Hey girls
As all of you I purchased about a year ago Qod Max and I am thrilled how my hair looks and feels. I love this treatment

BUT...I took a look at the bottle(1litre) and the expiration date is August 2012!!
I have used less than the half of the bottle!
I bet I wont have finished it until 2014!

Is there a problem using it after the exp.date?
What did you do with your treatments?

I though of separating it in small bottles (1 per treatment) and putting it in the refrigaration.

I've used mine past the expiration date with no problems. I also drink drinks and eat foods that are past their exp. dates as long as they look, smell, and taste fine. I think the exp. date is a "guideline" only. But, that's just my uneducated opinion.

Hi everyone

Firts I would like to thank all of you. I have been receiving some emails and phone calls from bloggers and I would like to say: Thank you for your business.

Now for all of you that are still looking for the old MAX formula, Kerapremium Original BKT(blue label) is here. The formula is actually better than the original QOD MAX. I have received some feedback from customers that purchased the formula and they are in love again. I dont have it listed yet on the website since we are still working on some changes but you can find the formula for now on Amazon and Ebay.

So, since no one wanted to buy my bottle, I decided to try it out. I've noticed of late that my hair seems to be even finer-textured than usual--curls are less resistant--barely able to hold a curl pattern, so that tells me that I probably don't need a strong keratin formula anymore.

I definitely smelled a little different--not in a good way. All in all, the results were about the same on my hair; it's hard to tell because I only use it on the new growth roots.

I don't know how well this would work on coarser hair--depends upon what kind of look you're going for--but it seems to be fine for fine hair.

One thing remains constant--fine hair SUCKS, and keratin can't do anything about that. In fact, it makes it worse, so fine-haired ladies, proceed with caution.

Has anyone else tried the new kerapremium formula? I bought a small bottle and I tried it and it was nowhere as good as the old original formula. It didnt last half as long. I also have been an avid user of the old QOD formula, then I tried the QOD organiq, which didnt really help at all with my hair.

I am still currently in search for a new brand that has the same effect as the old QOD gold formula, has anyone had any luck with it?

I bought a generic small bottle, was barely enough for one application and my hair isnt that long.

Just curious.... it seems many of you on this thread are interested in obtaining a looser curl without formaldehyde. Why haven't you tried regular hair texturizers or relaxers? Just wondering if there's something you know that I don't... Thanks!

I have tried regular texurizers and relaxers and I hate how they make my hair look. Plus I don't like working under time constraints.

With this treatment or other treatments (cyestine) you can get temporary results that gradually wear off without breaking the bonds that strengthen the hair. Bascially, I do not want to worry about overlapping my hair and my scalp is very sensitive when it comes to lye or any variation of it. Overall, these treatments are better for the hair and scalp than lye.

Thanks Cupcake! I am torn between three potential solutions: a traditional texturizer/relaxer, the Aveda Smooth Infusion treatment and this new QOD Max Organiq thing I've learned about here!

No problem!

There is a lady on another forum with daughters that 3c hair and one has 3a & 2 something and they have like tailbone length hair and she *loves* the QOD Max Organiq for them. She does only two passes (as do I when I've done that treatment) and that doesn't straighten their hair too much and it doesn't frizz in humidity. She does them every 4 months.

I say try the cyestine first since it's the least damaging of all for the hair. As a rule, when testing anything, I try the temporary stuff first,then go for the permanent treatments.

Do plenty of reading and research and read customer reviews and you'll be fine!!!

my hair type is 3c and i don't know if this gonna help me,
i've heard also about qod max silver ,but i saw no reviews about it
