Has anyone here tried the new Keratin Infusion treatment by Suave?

I am reading mixed reviews on their site, the good and the bad (and the very ugly). So this treatment is not for everyone. But I would like to share my review.

I apologize in advance if I get confusing during this post, I am under medication for my fibromyalgia pain flares and it is a bit hard for me to focus on my writing.

I was due to retouch my Keratin Treatment and now that QOD Max is no longer available I was looking for another route for this. Plus lately my fibromyalgia is making it so hard for me to endure the long process of a Brazilian Keratin Treatment (the long blow drying and flat ironing process). Well, I was lucky to be asked to try the Keratin Infusion Treatment by Suave, and give my review, right on time to treat my hair.

My daughter wanted to try it so I also did the treatment on her.
The box contains everything you need for the treatment. I was surprised on the easy application process compared to length of time it takes to treat with my QOD Max (and other Brazilian Keratin Treatments). This is a 3 steps application. But I think this product have some chemical relaxer as well, it smells like a chemical relaxer.
It will loose your curls, I did it also on my daughter who has VERY curly hair, and she ended up with soft waves. And if you have seen my previews posts my hair is naturally very frizzy curly (look at my avatar picture) , but since I do Brazilian Keratin Treatments, and the treatment has cumulative effects, my curls now are more like "beachy" soft waves. So the treatment just loosen up my waves a bit more.

At the time to style my hair, I noticed my hair had a lot more body than when I do a Brazilian Keratin Treatment. It was also so shiny and soft, I could not stop touching it. The shine is exactly as the shine I get form a Brazilian Keratin Treatment. It did lighten up my hair tone a bit (they tell you this can happen on the instructions and info paper included in the box)
The kit comes with a leave in conditioner that I LOVE. I will be using this leave in conditioner from now on as part of my hair regimen.

On my daughter, I noticed her hair was a bit frizzy on the first 3 days after the application, amazingly after her first wash her hair became smooth and shiny. She is loving it! Styling her hair takes so little time, and she loves that it will not frizz on humidity.

We also use Argan oil in addition to the Leave In conditioner. And we are loving it so far. It has been 2 months and we have not noticed any damage (yet).

It promise you smooth hair for 30 days, well it's been 2 months and hair still smooth and shiny, but we will retouch soon due to the roots. The curls are coming back on my daughter but not as tight as she naturally have them. I found the treatment on Walgreen's for $12, I was more shock on the great price! And the box contain enough product for long hair.
I have to say that the results are pretty close to the results I get from a Brazilian Keratin Treatment, and what I love is that I do not have to apply so much heat (like flat iron my hair on 450 5 to 7 times per hair section!!) to seal the treatment.

But I don't think this treatment is for everyone, I am reading other reviews with awful results. So be aware.

Has anyone here tried it? I added a picture of my result.

Pretty Pretty, AphroDiva! I'm just curious...how old is your daughter? You look so young!

I'm waaay too afraid to try that product. I'd need to see the ingredients first. Besides, I don't know if you've seen the recent posts, but QOD has Max available again under a new name: KeraPremium Original BKT System, avail on the Keratin4u site and her ebay site.

And the BKT lovers of the world breathe a collective sigh of relief...!

But, yes, I, too, am tired doing of the whole 4-hr process myself, even though my hubs happily helps quite a bit. I've been having issues with a pinched nerve in my neck, leading down into my right arm, so having my arm up in the air flatironing my hair is quite a chore these days.

Wow! Thank you Honeycurls! It great news to know it has a new name!! KeraPremium Original BKT System Here I Come!!!!! Now that it worth a bit of the pain on my joints! LOL

My daughter is 14 yeas old. THANK YOU for saying that I look young!!!! I think drinking plenty of water, eating as healthy as possible, and keeping a youthful attitude in life is the best anti-aging regimen.

I wouldn't recommend Suave Keratin to everyone, after reading so many bad reviews on their site I now feel lucky it worked for me and my daughter. But there are also good reviews, so it all depends.... One thing for sure is that the Leave In conditioner is great! I will add it to my BKT after care/styling regimen.

You hair is lovely as always!

I have read HORRIBLE reviews about this product! It contains THIOGLYCOLATE which can dry ethnic hair very badly. If a person uses this over a relaxer then you might as well put Nair on your hair (Nair is thio and sodium hydroxide mixed - it disolves hair).

Glad your hair looks great though!

OMG! Now I know why the strong chemical smell!! I am noticing more and more bad reviews about this product. I wont do this Suave Keratin a second time, because I might not see the damage now but what if the damage comes later? I might end up loosing all my hair which took me such hard work to get it how I always dreamed off!I do not want to harm my hair! I will continue doing my BKT, and not settle for less.

You're hair looks fab, and I'm convinced that QOD is the best treatment on Earth. I don't plan to ever stop using it!

We know have 2 formulas available in our KeraPremium line:

Kerapremium Natural Lissage system(pink label) no formaldehyde, aldehyde at all

and

Kerapremium Original BKT system(blue label). My customers that already purchased this treatment are stating that the formula is better than MAX.

Any questions feel free to let us know.

Also dont forget to try Argan Oil, it's the best for your hair.

In my hair I usually mix a bot of leave-in conditioner with the argan oil and apply to my hair.

We will also soon have Argan Oil with UV protection as well.

Soon...just need to use the remainder of my beloved Gold. I may try that argan oil, too. I'm just really leery of any oils. My hair usually hates them. Makes it poufy like cotton candy.

You are very very right. Suave's keratin treatment is NOT for African American hair organix is much better than suave's treatment organix leaves your hair conditoned and easier to blow dry and flat Iron.

How does it work on non-African American hair? The Organix just works as a deep conditioner on me and I can't afford the salon treatments at the moment.

Oh! And by the way, they discontinue this product due to soooo many bad reviews from such bad results it was giving to so many people. I guess I was lucky this did not made my hair fall!
