Should I get a keratin with hair type 1

Hi,
I have been thinking about getting a keratin treatment but I am not sure if this is the right thing for me. I am hispanic with straight hair but is it not the smooth shiny type. It is very frizzy and flat and it just looks very dull. Also I thick my hair is thick, and it is somewhat damaged because I have not been taking care of it, and I have to dye it often, also I experience some hair loss/breakage when I wash it. Am I a good candidate for keratin treatment? I am just a little bit afraid of the process and putting a 450 flat iron in my hair! Any input is greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your hair is really damaged, and getting a keratin treatment will just cover it up at best but won't heal your hair. The best thing to do is to stop straightening your hair, it needs time to regrow and when it does im sure it will look much better and healthy, you can try some hair recipes that are on here to put moisture and protein back in your hair.
