Question QOD max advice

Hi everyone,

I'm about to do the QOD max but I wanna know about the results.
I have a 3C hair type (I think!). is it gonna loosen my curls and defrizz my hair?
I dont wanna get a straight hair just manageable with loose curls that can be easily styled.

I have tried the cure gold from about a year (I was told it's formaldehyde free, which is not) while blow drying it made alot of fumes that I wasn't even able to breathe for a while and my eyes & throat were burning. I dont wanna experience this again, though I got good results afterwards for my hair.

So anyone with a 3C tried the QOD max? and what type are u now?

Thanks

I have 3c hair and I've used both the QOD Max (Originial formulation) and the QOD Max Organiq. I have not tried the QOD Max Kerapremium (contains aldahydes but not formeldahydes like QOD Max). The Kerapremium was released for people that wanted straighter results like the QOD Max orginally produced and because QOD Max Organiq wasn't strong enough.

I've used this brand for a quite awhile. If you are using QOD Max (3.52% formeldahyde) then yes, expect to lose all of your curl. My hair got bone straight with this one. All along it was marketed as having 0.02% formeldahyde but after the OSHA testing it was found to contain over 3% formeldhyde, hence the straight hair. I stopped using this product because I missed my curly - now I know why it worked so well (high percentage of formeldahyde).

I've used QOD Max Organiq about 3 times and I loved the results. I can keep my curls and still straighten my hair without it frizzing, swelling, expanding, or poofing in humidity. Plus it dries quickly and I can do rollersets very nicely. This product contains carbocyestine which is a newer form of "keratin" treatment. I still give QOD a side eye though for lying to customers about how much formeldahye was in the orginial formulation though.

I've read that the new blue label kerapremium has the ability to straighten hair as well.

Please let me know which one you purchased.

Maybe there were 22 people who had the same question as you?

Anyway, QOD Max original is amazing. I had 3c/4a, baby fine hair, and that's what I started with. Then I switched to Gold original--love that now. Been BKTing for almost 3 years--never going to stop. Love my hair now--it's 2b/2c--permanently.

I tried QOD Gold Organiq--didn't like it as much. I have a huge bottle of Gold Organiq only used once if you're interested in buying.

Kerapremium (blue?) is (or is similar to) the original Max forumula--when my Gold is gone, that's what I'm going to purchase.

Now after I did the Qod max twice last week (first time I didn't like the results -there were still frizz :s- so I did it again), all what I got is a frizz-free &soft hair but the same curl pattern.
I was hoping that I'd get 2c or 3a hair

Did you ever end up getting the Kerapremium? If so, which did you like better - the QOD Gold or Kerapremium?

Hi ladies, I have used QOD max keratin treatment and I love it! Yes, the previous reviewers are right: u will have to say bye-bye to your curls. Great for me - exactly what i wanted. I also tried QOD Red (with strawberries) and QOD Alquimist mask - reconstructive treatment with 22k Gold. Love them! QOD has a lot of great keratin treatments as well as after care products. I use QOD gold shampoo and conditioner. Happy with the results! Haven't tried their styling products yet, but I am sure they are wonderful as well.
