Japanese hair straightening?
This has been annoying me for a while, and I need some advice.
Back in the day, about 4 years ago, I had curly, somewhat bushy hair (between a 2c and a 3a). Around that time, I had my hair-stylist aunt retexturize it using a Japanese straightening method or something. The results were great, my hair stayed straight, and everything was good. She told me I would have to have it redone in 6-12 months.
6-12 months later, my hair's still straight.
1-2 years later, my hair's still straight.
Today, 4 years after the fact, MY HAIR'S STILL STRAIGHT.
For those who detest their curly hair, this may seem like a dream come true; hell, my hair is probably healthier now than it was before the treatment. However, it's a lot thinner than it used to be...And I'm just not into straight hair anymore. So, I've been trying 50 million different products that hold the slightest promise of bringing some of my curl back. None have worked thus far. I guess the question is: Is my hair permanently damaged? And if not, what can I do to fix it a little?
Any response is appreciated. :toothy7:
Hey I've had some experience with the Japanese hair straightening. I loved it while I had it, but unfortunately I had to wait for new hair growth to get my curls back
