So tired!

I am so tired of my dry frizzy curly hair! i have tried so many products and they made my hair feel nice but they did nothing for me long-term wise. Ive started taking fish oil pills and eating avocados on a daily basics because i am literally so desperate to find something thatll make my hair soft, healthy, and overall easier to take care of. At one point i had gone to my local salon and asked to have my hair relaxed but my salonist wouldnt allow it. She said that my hair was too dry and it would just break off if i got it done. Ive gotten Kertian treatments but they only make my hair nice for the first 2 weeks and then my hair goes back to its dry ugly self. When i style it at home i put in gels and curl definers and it looks nice but it takes practically forever to dry and i cant put my hands through it or itll get all messed up. I am a very pertie girl and my hair is just to big for me to handle. Also i recently got a haircut and she cut it so short and my hair is extra puffy and curly . please help! I need reccomendations to keep my hair soft and relaxed but also healthy!!! (im a 3b girl wanting 2b hair!)
Okay, I have a couple questions. First, are you CG? If so, what conditioners are you using? And finally, do you know your hair's properties (porosity, texture, density)? If you could share those someone might be able to give you more tailored advice.
Medium/coarse, low porosity, dense, mix of 3s
CG (again) since Nov. 2012

Cleanse: SM Moisture Retention, Elucence MBC, KC Come Clean
Condish: Giovanni DL, Cure Care, Ion Treatment, GVP Balm, AOHR

Stylers: KCCC, SM Souffle, AOMM, SS CEJ, JCRR, JCCC

Trying out steaming!
I dont know what CG stands for. All is that i used morrcan oil conditioner or devacurl one condition. Never shampoo. I put in a leave in once i get out, a curl definer and gel.

One of your first problems is the products you use and that fact you aren't shampooing! Moroccan Oil products contain silicone. You're not using anything to remove them. They coat your hair and don't allow the moisture in.

Here are the ingredients that I found for the conditioner:

Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, PPG-3, Benzyl Ether Myristate, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Octyldodecyl Ricinoleate, Behentrimonium, Methosulfate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Keratin Amino Acids, Cinnamidopropyltrimonium Chloride, Argania Spinosa Kernal Oil, Amodimethicone, Pantherol, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Divinyldimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer, Polyquaternium-55, Polyquaternium-37, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, PPG-1, Trideceth-6, C12-13 Pareth-7, Laureth-9, Trideceth-12, Peg-90M, Sodium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Ehthexylglcerin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Yellow 5 (Cl 19140), Red 33 (Cl17200). <!-- XCompress 3.0.12007.3 Request Headers

The best way to choose ingredients/products is by hair properties. Here's a link to help Live Curly Live Free - Curly Hair Basics Once you've determined your properties, look for others with hair like yours (in signature.) It's the best place to start.

Around here, Deva is a love/hate line. Many of us start out with it and then move on to other things we like a lot better.

Anything with protein in it makes my hair a dry mess. I can only use it as an occasional deep treatment.

And if youre using silicones you need to shampoo!

Do a lot of reading in the general board to catch up.

thank you so much for that new information! i looked further into it and i realized that i have low porosity hair with high density. Im not that big an of deva either so i was thinking to switching to Jessicurl Too Shea! Extra Moisturizing Conditioner. is this a good transition?
My hair is fine/low porosity. Texture and porosity are the two important properties when considering ingredients. Density will help with styling, cuts, etc. The Jessicurl products are popular. Second line I tried after Deva. My hair went limp and lifeless after a week.

As I said above, look for people with similar properties and see what they use. It's easy to do as your reading threads, etc. If you see a lot of low porosity/same texture people using a product, changes are better that it should work for you.
