Coppola Keratin Treatment

I'm another scared one. I don't want my hair to be straight. I'm a 3b so maybe it will still be curly! I have no idea how to handle straight hair as far as a flat iron. I just want it to take out the frizz and bulk! Need more reasurring it will do only that! Help!
I had the Coppola keratin treatment about a week ago and I am totally in love with it. My question is, I DO understand that we need to use non-SLS shampoos. My hairdresser said I HAD to give up my old poo & cond, and I get the shampoo part, but I don't understand why I can't use my old conditioner, as I later learned, via the Internet, that conditioners are SLS-free anyway.

I was encouraged to buy the mega-expensive salon products, which I did, except I just don't like them, I've realized. I can cope with the shampoo. But why can't I use my old conditioner?

Anyone know?

My hair is fine and if it's not clean, it's limp and flat. Their shampoos don't clean enough for me. If you read the labels, most Suave shampoos don't have sodium. I picked up Finesse from Big Lots for $3. There are lots of others. Even if you use a shampoo with sodium, it won't wear off immediately, just a little faster.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a CKT after care?

Ready to transition back to my curls that I've missed!
Going for the Cappolla Keratin Treatment on Thursday. My hair stylist said the one she uses is the advanced one and you can wash your hair right away...you don't have to wait 3 days. She also said you can put it up in a ponytail too. Has anyone ever heard of this? She said it will last 4-6 months. She said the one where you can't wash your hair for 3 days is the older one and now they came out with the advanced. Please reply.

Messing with AOWC/AORM (but will always love AOHR) Also playing with KBB, KCKT & KCCC
Frustrated none the less... Keratin process set for 12/20 unless something changes before then.

My hair stylist specifically said there is an Advanced Cappola Keratin Treatment that you can wash your hair the next day...anyone heard of it?
I haven't heard of this, but it's got to be great if it shortens the time period for wear..that's my only issue, b/c of work I have to have my hair back, so I have to have the treatment redone at a convenient time

Well I had the advanced keratin treatment done on Thursday and my hair is amazing...soft and no frizz whatsoever. My hair stylist said I don't have to wait the 3 days but I am going to anyway to be sure it lasts longer. Click here to see my before and after pics:

My stylist is very reasonable $150 and up depending on your hair type. If in RI area, call Debbie at A Nu U 401-946-6398 for an appointment.

My hair is naturally wavy and I used to spend 45 mins drying it and ending up with alot of frizz. I wet it yesterday (no shampoo yet) and blow dried it in 20 mins with no frizz at all...and it feels amazing!

I am getting the Coppola done in 5 days(Saturday) and I was wondering which products to use afterwords and what is the 72 hours like?
I just finished my keratin treatment about 2 hours ago! I know that I won't really be able to see the results for a few days until I wash my hair.
But Ive been reading other posts and it seems like everyone's hair has been really flat and straight after the treatment. Mine is straight, but it also seems a little frizzy. Its incredibly humid outside from heat and rain (it hasn't gotten wet though!), could this be responsible? Will this have any effect on the final result? Also, can I use a flat iron to try to get it to calm down a bit?
I'm really excited, but I'm worried this humidity and rain could ruin it!
My hair is not frizzy at all and it is very humid here in RI. I even went to a baseball game yesterday and sat outside all day in the heat and humidity and i had no frizz whatsoever. Maybe your stylist didn't do it right or didn't use the right product. I would call her and complain. How much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking? My stylist is very reasonable. If in RI Area call Debbie at A Nu U 401-946-6398.
Finally got to wash my hair today and it is still frizz free and really soft...I love it. My stylist said I could have washed it the next day because she used the advanced keratin but I decided to wait the 3 days so it would last longer. She said it should last 4-6 months. Can anyone tell me how long theirs has lasted? She is also getting me some kind of oil to put in it before blow drying that is supposed to prolong it. If in RI Area, call Debbie at A Nu U Salon 401-946-6398...very reasonably priced.

what products should you use after the coppola?
I Use Cappola Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner and I also bought Coppola Keratin Complex Infusion which is a Keratin Replenisher that I put in my hair before I blow dry it...it is supposed to make it last longer.
thank you for answering! do they give it to you when you get the treatment done and what is the 1st 72 hours like? i'm getting it done saturday!
Hi, does anyone now of a good salon in the Houston area?
thanks
Hello,
I am getting ready to have my hair done with the coppola straightening Keratin treatment, and had one concern. My hair is bleached blonde. It is in amazing condition for bleached hair, but it is still highly processed. I want to do this to help with frizz and curl. I was also hoping it would strengthen the hair with the deposit of the keratin. Has anyone out there done this on bleached hair? I know you are suppose to reduce the flat iron to 430, instead of 450...however, I feel like that is still really hot! I was thinking 380.... Any feedback would be appreciated!
You can buy the whole coppola kit on line at brighton beauty.com....the whole kit is a round $500. shampoo, conditioner, keratin and flat iron. It has enough to do 20 plus treatments! I know a few people that do it themselves after watching their stylist. It is pretty easy. The directions are included. My hair stylist uses my kit I bought, and I just pay for time. Around 80-100 bucks, instead of $350-450....so it pays for itself pretty fast. You can go in on it with a friend or family member too! Do the math, it is a no brainer! Doing it yourself saves you a ton and is actually not that hard if you understand how to do it!
