I'm not sure if you've found a place yet at the beach, but my salon in Poquoson just started doing this treatment.

I'm think about having it done myself, but still scared! I think the cost is $225, but not 100% sure. If you have any questions about the salon, email me.
Does anyone know where I can get the Keratin Hair Treatment in the Virginia Beach/ NOrfolk area? Thanks.

Oh I just got mine done in the Virginia beach area at Gary Allen salon. My picture after the treatment is in one of the above posts I can't wait till Tuesday when my 3 days is up!
Is it bad to flat iron your hair during the 72 hour period? I am doing this a lot! Also has anyone ever waited longer than 3 days? I am waiting 5 days because my hair stylist wants me to and I will go in on Thursday for her to wash it and blow it out. Is it better to wait longer? Also is anyones hair frizzy after getting it done? And does the frizz go away after the first wash?
Ok so, I have a couple questions.
Can you buy the treatment by yourself? It doesn't seem extremely hard to do, but would you recommend this?

I am about to try to do the Coppola treatment on myself, so I'll let you know how it turns out.

No, but I really want to. My hair is HUGE and just incredibly unmanageable.
I'm totally confused. The Coppola shampoo has Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate as the 2nd ingredient. I would like to transition to sulfate and silicone free products as the coppola wears off, and see if my curls are frizz free as they return.

I also noticed you have to be vigilant about reading the labels on styling products! Aveda Hang Straight and Smooth Infusion Conditioner both have sodium chloride in them.
After waiting 5 long days I am finally going back to the salon tomoorow morning for them to wash and blow out my hair! I can't wait to see the final results!
I have 3b hair and never wear it curly, I always dry it to get big waves. It's a pain. I love some volume but not big frizz which is what I've been getting since I moved to the east coast. Has anyone done the coppola keratin brazilian straightning and been able to still have wavy volume with 3b hair? Any pictures? I am a bit worried about super straight hair. thx.
I just had my 2nd BKT (Coppola) done yesterday. I had the first treatment done back in mid-April, so it lasted about 4 montsh for me.

I'm naturally a 3a. The first treatment brought my hair down to gorgeous beachy waves! LOVED this look! I could also blow dry straight (but with body) in very minimal time.

I was concered about the effects of sweat and chlorine on my treatment as I am a triathlete and I either swim/bike/run 6-7 days a week. The 'smoothness' of the treatmetn probably left my hair in about 2 months. However, my full-on 3a curls never returned at all... the beachy look still stayed around and all I had to deal with was some minimal frizz.

I'm a bit nervous as to how this second treatment will turn out after washing. I'm hoping it's not "too" straight as it's been rumored that these treatments tend to take better the 2nd time around (and beyond).

That being said, the Coppola Treatment has been life changing for me. I live in South FL and the heat/humidity is ridiculous! My natural curl pattern was also very random and I dealt with a lot of frizz since my strands are so fine in weight. Now, it's just a matter of washing, aidrying and problem-free end results that STAY that way.
3a, BSL, color treated/highlighted, fine strands (but lots of them), high porosity
Routine: Modified CG, protein lover
Location: South Florida

I'm a curly-headed runner, triathlete and foodie! Sweat, chlorine, sun... my hair gets tortured by it daily. It somehow always manages to 'bounce' another day!

I want this treatment so bad. After being made fun of by everyone, my little sister calling me horse hair, I've had enough.
I just need to convince my mom. It's so expensive and I am too young to get a job. =/
I just got the Keratin Treatment done last Friday, and I love it so far!! This is the best thing I've ever done. I wish I had done it sooner. My hair still has wave and body, but now it doesn't have that awful frizz. It only takes me about 10 minutes to blow it dry. I don't have to flatiron it anymore!! Plus, today I let it air-dry, and it still looked great. (That is something I could never do before). Yay!!

Naturally, I'm a 3B/C and now its smooth and straight. Won't ever go back to curly. There used to be a couple of good youtube videos showing the process. I will continue as long as I can get the treatment. At 22.50 a shot, I can beat that. It would be really easy if you have a friend who is good with a flat iron.
I Use Cappola Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner and I also bought Coppola Keratin Complex Infusion which is a Keratin Replenisher that I put in my hair before I blow dry it...it is supposed to make it last longer.

I am doing the Keratin Treatment in one week but I still have a couple of questions I need answered!

1. When it starts to wear off, does your hair go back to normal or is it a little softer/less fizzy than before?

2. How long does it last until you notice obvious fade away?

3. Are you not suppose to shower for a couple of days before you go in for the treatment?

4. I have 3b/3c hair with frizz bangs! so, will the frizz bangs be smoother and not frizzy if I do this?

5. Is it really worth the $400?

6. Does your hair fall off after the treatment?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I'm still on the fence. Thanks so much
farsha7,

I can't really answer all of your questions because I just had this done last week. I paid $300 for it, and I definitely think it was worth it for me.

You can shower before you go in for the treatment. But, you can not get your hair wet AFTER you get the treatment for 72 hours (3 days). So you can just shower with a shower cap on.

My hair has not fallen off.

I had 2b hair with lots of frizz, especially in the humidity, and now I have absolutely no frizz, very soft and silky feeling. I can even let it air dry.

I love it. I hope you like it, too.

Please post results. Good luck!!
