Coppola Keratin Treatment

Question for those of you who have had this done:

Did you continue to use the Coppola shampoo they gave you? Or, did you use something else?

Thanks!
Actually, the girl I went to forgot to give it to me after the first time! When I went back for my relaxer before the 2nd Coppola I mentioned that I read somewhere that I was supposed to use a certain shampoo and she apologized profusely, told me I was supposed to use specific shampoo and gave me a bottle then...to be honest, I don't think it REALLY matters...I was using my normal shampoo for 2 1/2 months and my hair was FINE...After 3 months I probably still could have gone longer but I needed to stay on schedule with my relaxer...I think more importantly than the shampoo (and this is just MY opinion) is how often you wash your hair...I wet my hair almost daily and condition it every time I wet it, but I only use shampoo now 2-3 times a week. To be on the safe side, I am going to use the Coppola shampoo exclusively this time and see if I see a difference.
I just had Coppola Treatment done in Wellesley, MA (Boston) at Lisa James Salon - Jane did it! She is the best ! I love it!
Has anyone had the Coppola Keratin Treatment done in the Boston area. I would love to get a recommendation from someone.

Thanks for your review.

How long have you had it? And, do you only use the shampoo they recommend? If not, what do you use?
I have had the shampoo for a couple of weeks and try to stick with that..I go by what my hair feels like...I used to shampoo almost every day which I know is TERRIBLE...but I was good about deep conditioning - I deep conditioned a couple of times a week which I think balanced it...now I shampoo 2, maybe 3 times a week and the other days, just wet, throw some conditioner in, put a plastic cap on my head while I finish my shower, then rinse...I have a bunch of shampoos and conditioners I like (although I am TRYING to stick to the Coppola shampoo)...the other one i like but think it has sulfates is Biolage smoothing...one of my friends has her beauty license so I go to the wholesale place and buy the good stuff pretty cheap ...I also make up my own product cocktails...I wear my hair straight so I like Moroccan oil mixed with a bit of biosilk right after a shower...I put a towel back on my head while I do my makeup and let that soak in, then I mix the Chi straightner with the Moroccan cream and blow my hair straight...it comes out great!!
Does anyone who has had this done know of a salon in Chicago (or the surrounding Chicago area) that does this? I've tried to look online and can't find any! I mean, it's friggen Chicago, the 3rd biggest city in the country! Grrr....I really want to look into this.

I had the treatment done two weeks ago, and my hair looks great!! It only takes 12 minutes to dry and I have long hair down to my waist. I always use the shampoo that the stylist gave me, because I want this straight hair to last as long as possible! I also bought the conditioner that goes with the shampoo, so my hair will stay healthy and shiny! Even in the worst humidity, I have pin straight hair!! When this treatment wears out in 3 months, I am going to be depressed, will have to get it done again. This is the best beauty treatment I have ever had in my life!!
Thanks for the feedback. So far, I have stuck with the Coppola shampoo and conditioner (both were given to me by my stylist).

I had it done 4th of July weekend. While it has helped my hair alot, I don't think it was groundbreaking or 'life altering' in terms of blowing it. Surely, I no longer need to use the flat iron -- but, the hair is not totally frizz free nor straight either.

From what I understand, if you do the process again in three months, the results are vastly improved.

While I am glad I tried it -- I am not sure if it is worth the money to do again or not. Time will tell for me.
Question for those of you who have had this done:

Thanks!

Thanks!

I don't care for their shampoo at all -- too many silicones in it for me. (and the scent is just YUK!)
LOL, the smell is gross!

I just had the Keratin therapy done on July 14th. Can't believe how nice it stays in the humidity. I just hope it lasts for 3 months, I teach aerobics and work out alot so I wash my hair everyday with Pureology (that is what the salon suggested). I found a place in downtown boston. Beaucage is doing it on Newbury St. Has anyone had it done a second time I am curious to see if it improves or lasts longer if you continue to have it done?
