Default heres a pic!

I don't have any pictures of my hair before, because I never allowed anyone to see me that way! but here is a pic of my hair after the keratin complex and it has been exactly four weeks since I had the treatment done!! I did take the pic myself with a camera phone, so it is a little funky, but the hair looks great!!

Default nice pix

You're right, your hair does look great.
I think I'm too chicken to do it. As much as my hair can get on my nerves I think I'd lose a little of my identity if I went completely straight.

Default 1 month later

Ok had the Keratin Therapy 1 month ago this week and sad to say that I do see some of the frizz coming back. I would say that it won't last another month. Anyone else find this? I have fine curly hair that is highlighted. I do work out every day so I have to wash it every day but I do use Pureology (which is suggested), I am sad since it has looked so good I want it to last the whole 3 months. I am wondering if anyone exercises alot and has anything to add about this. I do rinse my hair right after my workouts since I was thinking that the sweat would not be good for it. Any comments would be appreciated.

Frustrated none the less... Keratin process set for 12/20 unless something changes before then.

Thanks for the feedback on the picture Curly Gio, I really do love my hair straightened. Yours looks good curly, and mine did not, it was wild and had more frizz with hardly any curl. But if you ever break down and wish for straight hair, this process is the way to go!

I've heard nothing but good things about this hair straightening treatment. Does anyone know where I can get it done in the Western New York / Toronto areas? I've tried googling to find a salon with no success. I also tried e-mailing them direct off their website, but I haven't received a response. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: I received a response from Keratin Complex, and you can call the following number for a listing of salons near your area. Press 1 for Customer Service. The woman I spoke with was very nice.

If you want to see a picture of my hair wet and then how it dried on its own, email me and I will send you the pics. We had to rush to a restaurant reservation while in Mexico, so I went down right after my shower and it dried great on its own. Mexico has very high humidity and not once did I have frizz there. I'd love if you guys could do me a favor:

could you show me before and after pictures? the catch is this, though..I'm interested in the after picture being one of non-straightened hair..y'know..like how your hair would dry naturally after the coppola tx?

the thing is, I'm a 3a and not particularly interested in having stick straight hair but I'd prefer waves and less frizz.

thank you so much!

I have thick, wiry hair that is somewhat highlighted but mostly gray and I have color done every three weeks and highlights (very few) every 3-4 months.

I don't think the Keratin Treatment stayed in my hair very long either -- and I do NOT wash it every day (I wash every 3 days).

I was very careful about product use so as not to ruin the effect. I just think my hair is resistant to a lot of things (color included). HOWEVER, I will likely try this again as I understand for those of us with resistant hair, the second time around is even better. If I see nothing outstanding on treatment #2 - I can at least say I gave it a chance.

I had it down on 4th of July weekend -- and noticed that it was losing that 'frizz free' look around week 5 or 6. I still think it is somewhat easier to blow it out now -- as opposed to before the treatment.

My salon just started offering the Coppolla service this past month and my stylist was telling me about it during my cut today.

I had Japanese TR done back in 2003 and am in NO rush to ever have pin straight hair again; however, loose waves that I can work with or blow out when I want to is a totally different story.

I rarely ever wear my 3a curls natural... they can be so wonky... some days frizzy waves, other days spirals... sometimes both of the same day. I usually just airdry overnight in a low ponytail and then blowdry with a large round brush in the AM. Takes me about 10 minute total.

I wonder how much ease I would gain with the Coppolla system? The one thing I am fearful of is that I swim in a chlorinated pool 2-3x a week (part of triathlon training). I'm leary of dishing out $300 for something that I inadvertently wash down the drain during a swim.

The results that I've seen in this thread are really beautiful!

Thumbs up Coppola after CHI

Well, after a terrible disaster with the Chi straightening system (that destroyed my hair) I decided to try the Coppola Keratin Therapy 2 days ago and my hair is looking perfect! I am so happy. No curls at all. The CHI SS just created permanent waves that I didn't have before. Now I am so happy! I couldn't be happier. You can see the pic of my hair how it's now. I am going to wash it tomorrow but I am sure it's going to be wonderful.

I had this treatment done for the second time on September 26th (my first treatment was July 3rd). While I should have been able to get another month or so out of the process, my hair is naturally resistant to just about anything (color, other straightening treatments, etc).

The first treatment in July made a difference in terms of blowing out my hair, but not exactly the results I had anticipated and expected based on the posts here and opinions of others.

WELL.......

This second treatment did the trick! It took me only 15-20 minutes to blow out my hair with NO FLAT IRON required. And, I did not have to overly fuss during the blow dry process. I cannot get over how much more manageable my hair is and what a difference it made.

My stylist explained that some folks do benefit from a second treatment as the effects are cumulative -- well, she was right!!

I am beyond thrilled with the results! Incredible!

Again -- so others don't have to scroll back, I had my Coppola Keratin Treatment done at Salon Luna -- located on Merrick Road in Bellmore (Long Island). 516-765-3666. Kristy does the treatments; Allison does my cut and color; Paul also does my color.

Default Peter Coppola Keratin Complex

I had the Peter Keratin Complex done by a professional stylist in my Salon two months ago. I was told that the treatment was safe on blonde highlighted hair. My hair is long and has been highlighted for over ten years with no problems. My hair has been damaged by either the complex or the flat iron process. My hair began breaking all over after the first week and continues till today. I have begun to be afraid to comb it. I have read on line that some salons are refusing to do the process a second time on their clients. I am very disappointed and am putting this out there for others who have highlighted hair.

Mason542 -- I am so sorry to hear this happened to you. That is terrible!

My hair is naturally gray -- and I have a ton of color and highlights in my hair and my hair is actually healthier feeling after this treatment.

I am curious to know , once the results ( keratin products) come out completely, are you left with your original curls, or is it less curly and frizzy??
How less curly? .. sigh.. I am comtemplating .. I need frizz reduction big time!.

My hair is not curly -- but more wavy with tons of frizz. I don't think it makes it less wavy - just eliminates the frizz.

There was someone here -- I believe the thread starter -- that posted pics somewhere. She was able to wear her hair naturally -- sans blowdrying -- and her hair had nice soft curls and waves with no frizz.

The effects slowly wear off, so re-growth is not noticeable.

Default Keratin Complex Treatment by Coppola

Hi,
Just had this treatment done by --- Henri ---
Dir. of Education in NYC for Keratin Complex by Coppola.
So glad I found him through a friend. He trains and certifies every one that does the treatment in NYC.
I now have NO FRIZZ when I let my hair go natural and if I blow-dry it takes me half the time. I just never have a bad hair day now. My hair always looks great.

Henri is located at;
Riccardo Maggiore Salon
136 East 57th Street
NYC
Tel. 212-586-6482

Only downside is that he does a lot of freelance and photo shoots so its hard to catch him in the salon, so I would call in advance to see when he's available.

I just love my curls now and I love this guy for changing my life.
