How often do you cleanse your hair?
By "cleanse" I mean anything from co-wash, conditioning cleanser, low-poo, or sulfate/clarifying shampoo?
Asking b/c low porosity curlies run the risk of over conditioning/product build-up often...

Pretty much every time I wash (so about twice a week) but I use a very gentle low-poo mixed with some conditioner. A Co-Poo!

Almost every day. I try to co-wash as much as possible (usually a cleansing conditioner), but low-poo once or twice a week. A lot of that is because I do martial arts most days for up to two and a half hours a day (up to four hours on Fridays). My hair is a drippy, dirty, sweaty mess after that, so I can't imagine not cleansing it the next morning. On days that I don't train, I will try for second day hair the next day, but it doesn't happen often.

I wash with non-sulfate shampoo once to twice a week & probably once a month with an ammonium sulfate shampoo (suave naturals). I have an oily scalp and get build up easily if I don't wash often.

Not sure why you say that?? It's not something that I've heard,or experienced. Most people with low porosity have difficulty with absorbing moisture or anything else. Build up would depend on what products/ingredients you're using.
I wet, use a rinse out and style everyday. Normally use natural soap bars to cleanse--every 3 days in the summer, 5-7 in the winter. I use CJ Daily Fix for it's chelating properties every 2-3 weeks and a non sulfate shampoo every few months.

Every week unless something comes up, but since I've been using my activator solo I rinse every 2 or 3 days.

Once a week. My hair doesn't thrive with heavy manipulation.

I like that you said that. I thought it was just me.
I actually cow ash every 2-3 days, but I simply squeeze the Cond in to give me moisture and I use bentonite clay once a week.

I co wash once a week. My hair does so much better that way. Some days I use my mister bottle to wet my hair. It just has water and V05 conditioner.

Exactly. If someone's hair cannot absorb the products that they are using, there can be a build up on the hair depending on their cleansing schedule and whether they are just rinsing or using some type of cleanser.
How Does Hair Porosity Affect Your Curls? | Curly Nikki | Natural Hair Styles and Curly Hair Care
That was the reason for my question. Was just curious if other low porosity curlies were cleansing often or not. Judging from most of the responses here, cleansing is a frequent occurrence.
Thanks all.

I co wash almost daily and use a non sulfate shampoo ( Shea moisture, moisture retention) whenever I feel like it. Maybe every two weeks, or sometimes every couple of days.

I cowash every couple days, and use a low-poo 1-4 times/month depending on how my hair feels and how often I'm trying a new product.
And I do believe I've been over-conditioned before, especially when I was using Creme of Nature shampoo years back.

I'm currently going through a regimen change, but I'd try to co-wash 2x-3x per week. I like to wet my hair everyday. I'm gonna try lo-pooing 1x perm month.
