I got tresseme naturals conditioner and had some good results with it as a leave in =). no protein, glycerin, or other strong humectants.

such a careful operation. what is too much and what is not enough.. and the big difference it makes >_<.

and cheap lol.

I used to have gnarly, gross, dry hair that was absolutely horrible. Chucking the humectants has helped the last few months for sure. I also suggest Giovanni Direct since it's so lightweight and I find it really moisturizing. My hair just isn't the same without it! That an sealing. Since the air here is so, so dry we've gotta keep anything and everything we can inside the hair.

Hi Ladies,
I just figured out after my recent 2nd big chop that I am low porosity. Now I know why the lighter leave-ins always worked better.
My staples are Oyin Hair Dew and KCCC. I travel a lot and do not have to worry about my hair with these two in my suitcase.
I recently decided to bite the bullet and add some cones back into my regimen. I have been sealing with serums instead of butters and oils and my hair loves it. I add a few drops in my DC and have kept SSKs at bay. My DC after henna results in less dryness those first few days. It is working for me.

Wow my leaveons have glycerin and I see it in everything. I think my hair doesn't like it because it get dry even with alot of leavein. And I've been just using suave everlasting sunshine for everything. I consdider my hair to be on the dry damaged side too and it still can't take alot of protein without getting strawlike. Its frustrating BC my hair isnt it's healthiest from dye and heat and years of cones and drying products.
