Damp or Soaking Wet

Like Tree5Likes

I cant do soaking wet. My hair wont absorb anything and my hair will be wet and white from product forever. The ideal me is damp hair then a product that has it's own wetness. Like flaxseed gel or a curl cream I use that is a little runnier than others. just creamy conditioner and oil work really good for me.
Adthomas, do you find you have to use a lot of the gel or curl cream?

Applying product on my hair when it's damp is a guarantee for whiteness and frizz. My hair needs to be pretty wet but not soaking/dripping wet. Once all the products settled in (usually by the time I'm done applying in sections) I can blot out the excess water with a floursack towel or t-shirt. And voila! No whiteness, no frizz.

Since I boil my flaxseed for only 10 minutes it still has a runny/wetness about it so it applies well on damp hair versus the thick consistency gels that like very wet hair. by now the moisturizer has already soaked into my hair which is wont do if my hair is super wet.
I think I will have to try that. The idea of my leave in getting a chance to soak in seems promising.

I have achieved the best results by blotting my hair after shower and then applying my favorite leave-in and letting it sit for a few a minutes. I usually get dressed, then wet my hair with my homemade spritz and apply my styler, usually KCCC or IC gel. The key for me is to apply the LI right out of the shower and let it sit.
At night I am having good results with the LOC method.
I apply product to wet hair; damp hair usually causes frizz unless I am doing water only or just a little product. I tend to apply my KKCC right after my leave in. I only get white debris when I apply too much product. Blotting usually gets rid of this though.

Btw I find that unless I stand directly under the shower-head, my hair doesn't become soaking wet.

I don't have to apply soaking wet, but I prefer to than everything stays clumped and it dries that way. Then I have no real need for hard gels and I can towel dry it a bit without the frizz.

As for the white foam, I get it but it dries clear so I see no reason to wipe it off. Less friction for the frizz.

My hair frequently dries before all the product soaks in.

Has to be soaking wet or no matter what I use I get a frizzy tangled mess.

So today I wetted my hair with a spray bottle, applied my leave in then detangled. Then I scrunched in my gel and am having one of the best hair days since going CG. I am now starting to wonder if damp or a little wetter than damp is the way to go for me. I also have a lot more volume. Time will tell, but who knew? some of you apparently did
