Prevent Products from Sitting on Your Hair

Most of the time, when I apply products to my hair they just sit there for a long time and leave white residue and i do not have time for that to eventually go away. I noticed that when I DC my hair, the product will sit UNTIL i put on my plastic cap and heat it up. When i take the cap off all the whiteness is gone. So i thought to myself, maybe I can do that with my wash & gos?

So after I apply my styling products I put my cap on, heat it with the blowdryer and leave it on for 15 minutes. When I take it off all the whiteness is gone and the products have absorbed into my hair! Success! I dont know if people have tried this before but if not, give it a shot.

I saw something like this on some girl's blog. But she used a steamer instead. it sounds like it would work but I've never tried it.
4c wiry thick nappy low porosity hair
Poo: SM black soap
Rise out/Detangler:
DC/: Avocado+ oil + Honey
Spritz: Oyin J&B
Moisturizer: OH Dew
Sealant:BSP/Bask tapioca cream
I also do something similar but I use the steam from the shower - I put the cal on, run very warm water over the cap to warm it and build up a little steam, then leave it on while I finish my shower. For a longer DT, I wrap my hair in a hot wet washcloth then apply the cap then I put a heating pad over that.

Someone mentioned to me once the hair dryer thing (it was probably you lol) and I tried it - the other options fit in my routine better but the hair dryer was effective. Definitely a good option!
remember, with all advice or suggestions for your hair, YMMV!!
My hair:
2b wavy, medium texture, low porosity, med-high density. Protein finicky.
My routine:
Cleansing: DCNP, every 4-5 days (occasionally use CJ cleansers).
RO: CJSC, occasionally use JCDC
LI: KCKT or CJSL
Gel: KCCC, CJCIAB for 2nd day hair (sometimes third)

Heat is my friend: warm water rinses, steam caps, and diffuse dry. I love CLU cloths and my Denman.
