What products for lp?
I think I'm lp bc my hair stays wet. It also never sinks during the strand test. It always feels straw like too. What products from shampoo to conditioner to stylers to deep treatments should I use? I have long 3b with 3c at the nape and it's very thick as well. Please advise.

Sounds like you have a protein/moisture imbalance. I would tackle that first---that appears more your problem than simply having low porosity.
As far as actual products go for LP, they'd technically be the same as for any other porosity, except for maybe more watery, because they absorb faster than a thicker product.
In your case, I'd try lowering the protein and putting in more moisture. I switch to Tresemme Naturals whenever I'm feeling over-proteined, and let it soak in a loooooong time (1 hr minimum, usually). A protein-free deep condish that I use is CJ Curl Rehab (though I usually mix it with another conditioner).

You also need to know if your hair is fine, medium or coarse. Coarse hair becomes straw like when it gets a lot if protein. Fine hair needs protein to be healthy.
I like tresseme Naturals and Jessicurl Too Shea conditioners. The consistencies are more like lotion - solid but liquid enough to be easily absorbed into the hair. My hair is on the coarse side so I look for conditioners with little protein and lots of humectants. Also don't use a lot of glycerin if you live in a very humid or arid place.

Actually, low porosity hair absorbs slowly. It's porous hair that absorbs quickly.
OP, in addition to texture, it would be good to know what you do use. So people can comment. When you determine your properties, you can look for others with hair like yours and see what they use (in signatures.)
It's important not to use too much product. I use minute amounts of really rich products because that take so long to absorb. Frequently, my hair is dry before products are fully absorbed. Hair gets better as the day goes on.

I have 3b, coarse, long, high density, low porosity hair. Now with coarse you have to watch protein but with high density you are recommended to use heavy butters and thick creams. I've been cg since 2006 and after seeing a huge improvement and believing I have reached the end of my natural hair journey. I'm now looking for how to solve the straw like lack of moisture in my hair as well as the wet hair all day issue. What products and routines can you recommend for my hair width and porosity? Also I check out as lp based in the float test and my complaint of my hair taking forever to dry but I check out as hp when I do the strand test. What does this mean for my porosity?

I'm not sure why density would have you using thick creams and heavy butters. Density is how much hair you have. IMHO, it would influence the techniques you use to insure you distribute product, not what product you use.
The float test is notoriously unreliable. If you question your determination, why don't you do the live curly/live free hair analysis??

Just FYI, I meant that often times, more watery products allows the hair to absorb more quickly, not that lp hair absorbs product more quickly. I just know that for myself, I can't use thicker consistency products often (even in small amount), because my hair just doesn't absorb them.
Nevertheless, ITA that the method is often more important than the product. I get the best hair when I soak in water and conditioner for 1 hr (almost like a DT) --- it's practically the only way my hair absorbs large amounts of water. (Otherwise, I have trouble wetting it).
