Default Sensitive skin brighteners

So I'm only 33, but I'm noticing my skin is a little rough looking and my pores are bigger on my nose. Also I am noticing a couple of dark spots on my face and have a few fine lines but nothing serious. I'd really like something to help even my skin tone and improve texture.

Now my skin is pretty sensitive and gets ruddy quite easily. I recall using a product with AHA in it and it burned like a mofo. Retinols were something else I looked into but have understood there can be irritation with that also. My dermatologist recommended Retin A but I hear it makes your skin peel and can also be irritating.

Can anyone offer some suggestions as far as products? Preferably something OTC and not prescription. I hear that Olay and ROC make good products.

Clinique has a line of brightening products. I've been using Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector and Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer in my routine. The advertising says your skin will be brighter in 12 weeks. I've only been using it for a few weeks, but my skin feels good. The products are a bit expensive but I trust the brand.
