Ooooo shiney! ooo ooo ooo sparkley!! Magpie! magpie!
But yeah the sparkle/shimmer is over the top sometimes.
________
Have you ever done makeup for someone who's skin drinks up color? As in you apply a dark or colorful eyeshadow for example, and it just blends in/goes away? I don't know if I'm explaining myself well, or if it matters even. I've been 'solving' it by buying very dark, or very pigmented colors. (I have a lot of Loreal's HIP line).
I just feel like a weirdo.

I assume you're asking Phoenix, since if I tried that on myself, I'd look like a horror within seconds.
But I do remember reading that Dianne Carroll had skin like that.

My skin is like that. Using a good primer helps. But I find using a sticky base/concealer under your e/s and then patting (not rubbing) on the e/s does wonders.

Do you have an eyeshadow primer that you recommend?

Urban Decay Primer Potion and TooFaced Shadow Insurance are both good, esp the TFSI.

How often is it recommended to replace mascara?

I think this is also a makeup question:
Why is it that when I look in the mirror, my skin isn't shiny (as in oily), but when I view a photo of myself a moment later, it is?

Every 3-6 months.
It's the flash reflecting off the droplets of oil on your skin. Flash can do really funky things to a picture.

Oh might Phoenix, please I need a recommendation for a mascara that's like Maybelline Full n Soft.. they don't seem to sell it anymore. I haven't found it in years. And I hate that Maybelline (Great Lash my azz) in the pink tube. That stuff is always gunky on me..
..help.

Bekkapoo, I've seen it at Target.
Want me to check for you the next time I'm there? I'm going in a few days.
Sorry to interrupt, P. Is there something like Full n Soft that you like?

Anything you'd recommend for really sensitive but also really oily skin? It would be nice to wear makeup and end up without the really red burning feeling in my skin, or break out for the next week. >.<
My skin is an oxymoron, I think.

You've seen it there in 3D? I just checked the Tarjay website and it's not listed there. But heck, if you can get me the Full N Soft I'll paypal ya some funds for it. I'd send you enough for at least a few tubes.
And I'd be ever so grateful.

I've seen it at Wal-Mart and on drugstore.com. It's been my fave for about a year.

Yeah, I swear I saw it recently too. I'll keep an eye out for it and let you know if/where I see it. But I'm told the Maybelline FnS is a dupe for DiorShow. Sorry, that would be a big price hike...
