Ninja finds the way they play their customers with launches, limited editions, "goodbyes," and their "only available in MAC stores or online" policy for some colors/products highly annoying.

However, she still loves their lipstick.

LOL. 3c4d7zwhatevs agrees. It's most annoying to me that they can't get their launches right. Don't put the product online for preview days already saying sold out. Just don't put it up at all. That's nuts. The particular product I want has been saying sold out since the first private preview went up over a week ago. What's the point? And they only send a certain, inadequate amount to stores, which guarantees it's sold out before noon, except the really crappy colors.

Anyway, I believe I am done venting. I am also done scheming. I couldn't come up with a good enough story to guilt anyone into letting me buy the stuff early without telling a falsehood, so forget it. Tee hee, I said falsehood!

I hate feeling manipulated by cosmetic companies. It's so transparent in this case. (Or maybe I should say "translucent.")
--------------
NYX's pore minimizer works better than their matte-ifying lotion.

JUst in case anyone's wondering.

Note to 3c4d7zwhatevs: no more smoky eyes unless you are sure to take your doggone allergy meds the previous night. You look awful today. Smoke all over the darn place.

I can't wait for my ULTA order to come in tomorrow!!!

Does Ulta offer a "no shipping charge if you pick it up in store" option?

Not that I have seen. The only reason I ordered from them online is the lack of stock in my local stores. And they only do free shipping over $50. There are some strange restrictions on what they will sell online, so most of the time I just go to the store, which is a hit-or-miss as well.

It's totally hit or miss! I have to call on Wednesday after 3 to find out if they got anymore Pore Shrinkage stuff by NYX, and then if they didn't, call another branch, so I don't go out there like I did last week and spend money on everything but what I originally went for.

Such is Ulta.

If they carried MAC I'd really be screwed.

I quickly spent $75 at Ulta on Saturday, and that was with 40% off the NYX stuff I bought and a 20% coupon which didn't have any of the usual exclusions. I got the Two Faced primer and NYX's version of the Naked palette, but everything else was small stuff. It sure adds up quickly! I couldn't use the coupon online. I would have been better off if I could have!

As much as I dislike having thick eyebrows that grow back within days of plucking, I'm glad they are like that. So many girls (at least on Youtube) have to draw in their eyebrows. That seems like such a hassle!

There's a girl at my school who paints on her eyebrows. I think she thinks she is going a good job at making it look natural. But it's not. It's the first thing I notice on her face--and not notice in a good way, either!

Theres a Sephora going in the small shopping plaza that I frequent and is 15 minutes from my house. I'm pretty hysterical about this.

^^aren't they all? I am always awed by the artistry and creativity you put in such a small place.

OAN:
Would anybody object to having a thread here where we could come and put random questions for anyone to answer? Random, sort of trivial but not really questions we would like an answer to but just need a quickie answer is anyone knows? Questions like, "Does anyone know the name of the shadows in NYX Cosmetics' 'Jazz Night' pallette (SP?)?"

But that puts the color too low on the face for me). Just sweep the stick on the bottom edge of your jaw, starting from your ear and stopping no closer than 2 fingers' width from your mouth. Blend out the edges of the color to get rid of any harsh lines. Sweep some color on your temple, near your hairline and along your bottom jaw, and blend.
*Sweep the highlighter on your cheekbones at the highest point (where they jut out most from your face) and blend to soften. You can then apply your blush between the highlighter and contour to tie it all together.

HTH
this would be an awesome youtube video, i'm just saying
I just noticed this post! Sorry! There are lots of contouring vids on YT anyway...

I am awash in lipstick. But I am not mad. I just went a little crazy with my "summer" acquisitions. I am done until fall. I think. After my next cherry culture order arrives. Then I am done.
