Drugstore.com - assuming that's what you meant - just gets worse and worse since Walgreen's took it over. There are several things I used to order from there because I couldn't find them locally that are no longer available.
They were always bad about not having a full range of colors of make-up products, but I'll bet they're even worse now, though I haven't actually looked for anything like that.

Is this the end of my career as a MUA? Maybe...idk... My interest in makeup, promoting my business or even practicing on myself has waned. I just don't feel like it anymore. Sometimes I do, mostly I don't. My skills are pretty good overall but nothing like what I want them to be. I can't compete with MUAs who are true artists IMO. Maybe I shouldn't even try. Is this normal? Do most people experience this when pursuing a dream? I wanted to make a living out of doing makeup. I just don't know if that's feasible anymore.

this is interesting to read. i'll say personally i like makeup but it has never been more than a hobby and occasional money making opportunity. for me pursuing my group fitness instructor passion is probably more similar to how you talk about makeup. for me since i've started teaching 7 years ago no i've never wanted to just give it up. over that time i've constantly taken training, honed my skills, learned new formats and changed my schedule around. i still feel excited about it even if one day i feel blah and would rather veg on the couch (those days are rare though).
maybe you can change up your focus, take a class, even in another city learning something vastly different than you've done before. maybe you should focus on a complimentary thing, like photography or fashion, etc. that might get your juices going again.
i'm not really sure because i can't really relate but i hope you get your passion for makeup back.

why call something a BB cream, but it's really a tinted moisturizer? I know Iman has the $$ to spend on research to make a real BB cream. WTH?
I might have to start researching how to make a BB cream then...GOSH

^^^^ UGH! So its not a "real" BB cream?!?!? I was looking forward to trying this. Guess I'll pick up her foundation stick instead.

A bb cream is a primer, foundation, concealer and moisturizer all rolled into one with anti aging benefits (and sometimes skin tone lightening/evening benefits as well). A tinted moisturizer is just that--a moisturizer with a hint of sheer color). A bb cream wears longer much like a foundation. It's also thicker yet feels light and not cakey. Most American brands that have bb creams are really just tinted moisturizers case in point Iman bb cream. Ugh. So much hype.
ETA: bb creams can also have skin treatments like for acne and hyper pigmentation. Korean bb creams are the best and the real bb creams. Western brands are failing. I don't even understand why with all the big bucks we are constantly funneling into their pockets.

ETA2: And BB creams tend to have higher SPF than a regular tinted moisturizer

Frustrated with all the BB creams I'd bought locally - they all seemed like nothing more than tinted moisturizers as y'all say, I was looking at them on Sephora and read some good things about Dr. Jart+. But that line had several different ones, and I couldn't decide which to try. Then I saw this set and ordered it for $34 before investing too much in the stuff, although it can be returned to Sephora if you don't like it.
So far, I've only used the premium one in the gold tube. I actually quite like it, however, I'm pretty fair skinned, and it's almost too light for me. I like its high 45 SPF (which might have something to do with its light color - not as high on the others, so they might not be as light), its performance as a primer, its surprising coverage on its own, the way it lasts thru the day, and the fact that my oily skin is no oilier than usual. It's a generously-sized tube, and I've been using it for a couple of months. It hasn't bothered my roseacea or seborrheic dermatitis. Hasn't caused zits. It's light, not cakey, not tacky or sticky.
Just liking it overall. I'll be interested to see how the others compare. The blurb about Dr. Jart at the top of all his products says the company's Asian, but I don't know what country. Supposedly 21 dermatologists helped develop their products.

WurlyLox, did we discuss your seborrheic dermatitis before? How do you manage it? I have it too.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it weird for L'Oreal to put the models' ethnicities in the True Match commercials? The first time I saw it I caught it from the corner of my eye and it was gone in a flash. So I thought maybe I misread. But today I saw "100% Puerto Rican" in the corner of JLo's commercial. How odd. Besides saying 100% Puerto Rican is like saying 100% Black (ok not really but). Both groups are highly mixed.

I always thought it was a way to show how ~diverse~ the people who could/use their products are since most drugstore only have lightest beige, light beige and beige as their color choices. So they're going SEE! SEE! IF YOU'RE BLACK YOU CAN USE THIS! IF YOU'RE PUERTO RICAN YOU CAN USE THIS!! WE CATER TO YOUUUUU!

Oh yeah that's almost definitely the reason behind it IMO. I get that. I just think it's a strangely direct way to go about it.
What does the one for Beyonce say?

all the stila bb creams are too light....unless I try the bronzer bb cream, I used to use drugstore bronzer as foundation until I found out about mac and the costly make up.
I might try the smashbox bb, but I don't trust "mediums" in colors, they be sketch.
I think my undertone is too yellow which is why nothing works for me.
