Say It, I Dare You ~ Makeup/Beauty Style

Some women look like clowns! I though makeup application was part experimental, part practice, and part common sense.

Also, what are women thinking with those oddly shaped brows!!!!

I used my Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour, full coverage, foundation last night. I wanted to test it out while I was working and see if it held up. I had to mix it a moisturizer to get a thinner constancy and only used a pea sized dab. It was pretty nice. My foundation looked almost the same 12 hours later. Only a little bit of wear.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Ordered one of the new Clinique Cubby Shadow Sticks. It seems to be sold out in most stores and out of stock on several sites. I can't wait until it gets here. Beautiful periwinkle color

In exchange for a silly twitter post last week, I just received a free deluxe sample of the new UD Perversion Mascara. Tried it tonight and it officially replaced Buxom Lash as my favorite. Can't wait to get the full size next month.

I am still waiting on my chubby stick! According to the email it shipped on Monday. I have no idea where it shipped from.

This is really an interesting thread for eye care. It's amazing to read some of the beauty related replies. Thanks.

I finally got my shadow stick. FedEx had delivered it to a post office I do not use. They said they did not have it... Big mess but it was located.

Why does ordering have to be such a huge pain for me.

ETA: I do love the color. It's sheer, soft and light. Very pretty hint of color, that you could build if you wanted.

Is it so wrong I'm about to give away two single prestige cosmetic eyeshadows to feel better about buying MAC Saddle??? I think it might turn out being my HG transition shade...

lots of times i feel bad about how much makeup i have - especially when i spend $75 on a MAC LE collection like i did this morning (A Novel Romance).

then i go on Specktra to the "Clearance Bin" forum and see what people are selling and realize i have next to NO makeup in comparison!!!

i am COMPLETELY shocked by the size of some of these stashes that are advertized for sale!

i *know* that makeup is cheaper in the US, but... wow!!!! are these women not eating? living off parents/boyfriends/husbands? running up credit cards to astronomical heights????

i also know i shouldn't judge, but seriously.... folks... go take a look at THIS:

WOW!!! just wow.....

I got my first high end lipstick last week. It is a Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12 Hour Lipstick in the shade Fierce(a bright, orangey red) and I really like it! It's my first red lipstick, I wore it out to a concert and the color lasted all 10 hours I had it on. Granted it got a bit dry, but it didn't get flaky. I wanna be one of those people who wears red lipstick regularly but I'm not sure if I'm bold enough. Baby steps, I guess. Happy with my purchase

darn! i think only members are allowed to see the Clearance Bin!

in the link i posted, the woman had 45 blushes, 20 eye shadows, and 40 lip products just from MAC.

there were 14 miscellaneous primers, foundations and concealers from other companies, along with 29 blushes, 35 eye shadow palettes, 31 single shadows, and 41 lip products.

then there are the the products from other countries: 11 foundations and primers, 39 blushes (she obviously has a blush addiction!), 121 eye shadows/palettes, and 37 lippies!

and....

a train case!!!

did i mention that she's got a couple of photos of drugstore brands, too?

that's just shocking to me!

And I thought my stash was getting out of control... Thank you for that bit of enabling. Now I won't feel so bad next month when I buy the new UD Naked 2 Basics palette. Even though I need another eye shadow palette like a hole in the head... I think I've already hit VIB Rouge at Sephora at least twice over this year (I officially qualified back in March, which I find somewhat appalling).

I'm not sure how I should do my makeup the first day of classes. Do I make it a little bit nicer and bolder, or just do my usual concealer and eyeliner routine? I guess the question is do I care enough to go a little fancier to give a better impression to my new professors and classmates or just not even bother and show that I'm already so done with the semester? I'm leaning towards the latter.

I don't think any professor would feel you are 'done with the semester' if you're not wearing eyeshadow.

I guess that goes more towards the students lol! If I don't do something about my dark circles and paleness I basically look like a corpse. That's mostly my struggle, do I look dead or not haha
PS I never wear eyeshadow (:
