How come MAC Brushes never fit in any cases for travel? Ugh! I'm using a tokidoki pencil case for my brushes right now but one of my longer powder brushes get indentations in the bristles/hairs of the brush and that just annoys my soul!
Is it just me or is IMAN Powder Blush in "Peace" a LOVELY everyday blush for darker skin? I bought this on a whim last week and tried it today, along with her bronzer (Clay). I like it.

ETA: Why can't SOMEBODY get Viola Davis to wear foundation to match her skin tone and NOT sink into those lines around her eyes (and not accentuate them with that thick dark liner)? She does not have this problem on screen, so why can't she find out what they use on her and make her makeup artist use that? I cringe when I see her red carpet pics. I have seen her without makeup and she looks great - flawless skin. Why aren't they doing her justice?

I absolutely love Clinique's Moisture Surge tinted moisturizer. It has just enough coverage for my ruddy, dry skin and isn't slimy like other tinted moisturizers.

I think Charlize Theron blew it with the light lipstick last night at the Golden Globes.
If you want to do the nude lipstick trend right, you have to find the shade that fits your natural skin tone. Nude is different for everyone. There is no one shade fits all color.

I see way too many women walking around looking like they made out with a powdered donut. Not okay.

My NYX purchase FINALLY shipped. Should arrive today. Nice of them to have told me when it shipped. Anyway, hope it's in good condition, as their powdered shadows are...delicate.

I have an itchy red rash on my face at the moment. My doctor thinks it is roseaca. I've got some cream to treat it. The other day in the shower I was using my Nizoral shampoo for dandruff and wondered what would happen if I washed the rash with it. I put it on the skin affected and left it while I finished showering, then rinsed it off.

Good grief it's clearing up quickly now!

In conclusion, I have a case of face dandruff going on.

i wish i could wear mac foundation without breaking out, life would be so easy. it is great color match after all....

It makes your skin look amazing and has none of the damaging effects.

I wonder if the model in the nunaat banner ad on the nc.com home page could be PhotoShopped a little bit more. She doesn't quite look mannequin-like enough.

In any event, I've been using Bare minerals for YEARS, and I have successfully converted about 5-6 of my friends to it as well. LOVE LOVE LOVE and sooooooo many color options. The best way to go is to get a starter kit and go from there. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Make sure you get a good primer ( I like mixing Milk of Magnesia with monistat anti-chafing gel, don't judge me!) You'll also want to get a spritzer of some sort. The cheapest one on the market is Elf's makeup setting spray for 3 bucks at target. The setting spray leaves you with a nice finis. People never know I'm wearing foundation.

I've also had a horrible experience with Mac; it gave great coverage but made my face itchy and break out. I already have super sensitive skin so I gave away. I think Mac foundations are super greasy which, for me would explain why it did not work well with my skin.

I +1 about Black Opal and Radiance fondations, they give great coverage for women of color and they blend very well. I love the foundation sticks.

Picked up 2 lippies from the Wet & Wild 2012 collection on a whim after watching a YT Fav (makeupandbesutyjunkie) & I must say I'm impressed. I got "It's a girl"-really pretty bright pink, good for fall/spring & "Birthday Suit"-a pretty nude thats a perfect match for my cocoa skin. They were 1.99 but had a $1 off coupon on each so was a good deal. Check it out Ladies!
