Bought the Tarte blush in Amused and their Amazonian clay foundation in Light and tried both today. I really like the blush - finely-milled and just a sheer wash of color. Definitely won't repurchase the Stila now.
I applied the foundation with Tarte's bamboo makeup brush, and I really like it, too, I think. Won't have the proof of the pudding on that for a while because it can take a while for my dermatitis to react to a foundation. I'm hoping it'll find the clay beneficial as others have seemed to. Not much oil breakthru, probably due to the clay - a plus for me. I've only blotted once and have had to use no powder.
Eyes about the same as yesterday except with Victoria Jackson's darkest color in the Pink kit - a dark copper color and with a no-name taupey brown from a free Lancome kit smudged over the liner instead of the frequent raisin Sonia Kushak.
ETA: LOL, thought I was posting this in another thread where we were talking about the blush.

I find that most matte long lasting lipcolors are drying and I think if I wore the Colorstay all day everyday it would end up drying out my lips. But I wore it all day yesterday without issue. It's not a color I would wear everyday anyway. But I'm happy I finally found a red shade that looks half decent on me.
You got a hat with ears and a NOSE? That I would like to see.

i almost always wear Deck Chair pigment as my highlight colour. it's a soft golden peach with a slight pink undertone that is PERFECT with my skin tone. and i haven't mentioned that i always use Smashbox Brow Tech (in the old duo format) in Auburn to fill in the sparse and grey areas.
so today:
Mulch on outer 2/3 of lid
Deck Chair on inner 1/3 and under brows
Madeleine Mono pigment in Turkish Coffee at the outer edge of the crease
Teddy kohl on lower lid
Rubia lippie with Coral Grade lipglass (both LONG gone!)
the Madeleine Mono was something i got back in my 20s!
it is a VERY dark brown, shimmering pigment with a grey undertone.
the company still exists, but i don't know that they still make this product.

on my eyes (mostly mac):
- mostly satellite dreams (purple)
- carbon on the outer corner
- studio fix concealer under the brow
- stilla brown (part of a compact) in crease
- the highlight is a lighter color from the same stilla compact
- blacktrack gel liner on the top
- revlon custom eyes mascara
- spiked eyebrow pencil
today i tried my meow undereye concealer. i'm trying to see which i like best. in a way i think the mac pro longwear looks better but it always pumps out too much (waste) and is a bit more tedious to apply and blend but the meow looks okay and is super easy to apply with my sigma brush. maybe i'll post one eye with one and one eye with the other and let you girls help me decide.

when i look at the color on my eyes it doesn't look that vivid. i don't know if i'm not applying enough color or if it's just the lightening and pic. hmm, in person it seems like i can see color. i know on brown skin you have to pack on color. what do you girls think?

I think it's the lighting. The color doesn't show up as much on my pictures either. And the super close up doesn't do my mascara and liner any favors either.

I do the same face all the time, though I have a few lip colors I rotate.
Anastasia brow pencil in Ash Blonde/Taupe
Too faced Prime & Poreless primer
MUFE HD shade 115
Sephora Mineral Matte Setting Powder.
NARS Madly blush. Love this stuff.
NARS Abyssinia eyeshadow. I love this color because it's skintone on me and it makes a nice base color.
NARS Ashes to Ashes. It's a dark brown that I use in a V-shape at the outer corner of my eye.
Sephora retractable eyeliner pencil in matte brown/black. The black is a lie. It just looks like a brown pencil to me.
DiorShow in Chestnut. It's hard to find a good brown mascara, and I love this one.
L'Oreal lip gloss in Coy Flush.
Plain face.
Today indoor light.
Today outdoor light. Sorry for the goofy faces, lol. I also need a brow grooming.
Oddly, this all looks darker and 'more' to me IRL, but looks like almost nothing in pics.

Thanks!
The one that looks most like I see myself is that last one in glasses. It's in my car on a sunny day. The indoor one was in the bathroom, but was brighter than usual since the sun got the window just right. Usually the indoor pics are sort of yellow-y with those new light bulbs.

Thought I'd branch out and buy some red. I got help at Sephora yesterday.
Same face.
Lips are NARS Lipliner in Amazon
Clinique lipstick in Cranberry Cream.
Finding a liner was hard because most looked unflatteringly pinky.
This boldness takes some getting used to but I think it's not so bad.

I decided to experiment with some meow samples today
Mean from the Cat Eye collection
Fur coat from the Modern Eyes collection.
And also I experimented with different lighting in the pictures. I'm undecided on which I like best. They all have their good points and bad.
The first two are taken in front of my tank lights. The first one with flash, the 2nd one without and lighting adjusted in a program. The third how I normally take pictures, in my bathroom with no flash.

rcc that red looks perfect on you!
cympreni the color in the 2nd pic pops! nice!! i'm still experimenting with meow shadows. i know the ones with silver bits don't look good on me at all. the egyptian line is nice and the matte shades.

i stepped out side to take my eye pics for today. it's a combo that i like...mac hot paprika and mac satellite dreams. i have on a navy liner which i like with purple shadows.
oh and rcc i agree, i was looking more yellow in the house. i can at least take these on my back porch with nobody looking funny, if you look closely you can see my hands holding the camera by looking in my pupil.

Covergirl Lashblast in very black (testing and I'm not seeing what all the fuss is about), Milani liquif'eye metallic eyeliner pencil in black (which suddenly stopped playing nice with my contact lenses...no idea what's going on there but it's a shame because it's otherwise a fantastic product!) on my waterline and MAC's So Chaud lipstick.
