what Vit. C product do you recommend?

I use retin-A at night but not every night. I have to be careful not to put it near my eyes because it irritates them, but otherwise, it works well. I don't exfoliate except maybe twice a month.

I'd like to add a Vit. C product for daytime. What do you recommend? Any other recommendations?

Derm. told me I have very strong skin. I used to sunbathe like mad and also used a sunlamp for acne when I was younger - didn't know any better and thank god my skin is still in one piece and looks very well for my age. I also smoked for a few years. I'm very lucky that my skin looks as well as it does - must be genetic.
2/c and some 3A. Modified CG.
Protein sensitive
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.

Quality Vit C products can be pricey. PSF makes one a high quality Vit C at a relatively reasonable price:

Silk Naturals makes a nice vitamin C serum and it's not expensive.

DIY C serums can be easy to make. C serums are expensive because it is hard to keep the C stable. If you make it yourself, you know it is fresh. You can mix it daily quick and dirty or you can do more measuring, use a few more ingredients and mix it weekly.

For daily you can just mix l-asorbic acid, and water. Stir for about a minute, apply. This is what I do, although I've been lazy lately.

For weekly, the recipes I've seen add propylene glycol and use grams. Store in the fridge.

If you want more info, lmk and I'll post the links I have to recipes.

I don't know your price point, but I have a few I recommend for clients (I'm in the skin care industry).

Skincare by Dr. Dennis Gross' Vitamin C Serum.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum.

I also recommend exfoliating once a week, maybe more depending on your skin type.

Of course, you know your skin better than anyone online- so pay attention to what it tells you.
Thanks for the recommendations, everyone! I think I'll check out the silk naturals since it sounds less expensive. I'm too lazy to make a vit. C concoction myself. Also, I'll check Sephora to see what's not too expensive that they recommend.
