Hey guys!

I love makeup from Sephora/MAC/etc, but as a college student I find it so hard to justify spending $20-$30 on only one or two products. I have heard that many people love ELF makeup, and I know thats it's something I can afford.

What ELF (or other drug store) products do you use that are decent quality and get the job done? I'm not looking for blush, eyeshadow, etc specifically, just anything in general.

Thanks a lot!

I really like their eye primers (I have used all the colors and they all perform well under multiple brands of eyeshadows) and I like some of their brushes (but those are the ones I have ordered online - the ones at Target disappointed me). I also really like their liquid waterproof eyeliner in navy, brown and black. The eyeliner, brushes and primer are routine purchases for me.

I love the ELF Mineral Primer. That stuff works very well! I use it daily. I also like their HD powder a lot. And the mineral lip sticks are very nice. They aren't super pigmented but they give this very pretty nice natural color...which is nice.

I love the ELF Studio foundation brush (can't remember the exact name but it's a flat brush). I use it everyday now..even made me stop using my Bare Escentuals flat brush and my Sigma Foundation brush. I use mineral foundation and it works extremely well with minerals. I can get a very good coverage with it and it doesn't shed.

Another drugstore brand I LOVE is NYX. Ohhhh I can't say enough. I have so much NYX it's not funny. NYX is my "MAC". I boycott MAC so.. I get a lot of fun dupes with NYX that are sort of like some of the more popular high end brand colors. But my absolute favorite are the NYX Mega Shine Lip glosses. They are pure perfection in my book. And the colors..wow..just so many to choose from and they all wear very well.

Also the new Wet N Wild stuff. I love their blushes and eyeshadows. All of them are very very pigmented. I find my self reaching for the WNW Heather Silk blush so often. It looks amazing on my skin tone. Frankly, I think it would be lovely on just about any skin tone just have to use a little more if you are darker and a lot less if you are lighter. And the WNW gel liner. The black works really well for me and lasts a decent amount of time on my super oily lids! I also love WNW bronzers. I use them very lightly to give my skin a warm glow and they look nice. I also love the WNW eyebrow kit. I have blue-black hair and I wear the dark brown kit. I like how the brown is a true dark brown..it's not that reddish brown color that look so off on my skin tone. It's a very rich dark brown when applied. I love it and use it every single day!
I'm a big NYX fan, too. I use their blushes, eyeshadows (love!), eyeliners, lip glosses, and HD powder. I'm constantly buying more every time I turn around. Ulta has the brand on sale frequently, so I usually buy there. I need a foundation with good coverage, so I use MAC, but most of my other stuff comes from NYX.

Check out the ELF beauty tools too. Especially the Studio line. Decent quality for very cheap price. But read the reviews to help you decide. I bought the Studio kabuki on a whim to have as a spare a while back and I recently started using it. It's not bad! Not as thick/stiff bristled as more expensive brushes but it's pretty good, especially for that great $6 price.

I also bought a few of their lipsticks a while back haven't used them yet.

Wet n Wild has great quality eyeshadows and blushes for very, very cheap. Their 8 pan palette in "comfort zone" has beautiful neutrals, and their blush in palette "pearlescent pink" is almost a dead on dupe for Nars Orgasm.

Thanks a lot, everybody! I can't wait to head to the store to try some of these things out. I'll let you know what I end up with!
I love ELF brushes, particularly the ones with the white handle (as opposed to the black handles). I don't know if there a difference. Also, don't be alarmed but when you wash them, the dye kind of runs of.

Other than that, my favourite drugstore brand is Revlon with Maybelline becoming a close second.
Hair type: Mostly 3C, medium porosity to high porosity depending on the day, dense, fluffy, dry, tangly!

ELF-
blush brush with the black handle
cream shimmer highlighting quad
eye shadow primer

Wet n Wild-
Megalast Nail Polish- This stuff lasts forever on the nails and there is a nice range of mostly cream colors

Sally Girl (sally beauty supply)-
eye shadow-I'm picky about eyeshadow because they all crease on me. The two best are MAC and this one for 1$ a pop. I thought Wet n Wild and NYX shadow were nice, but for me they creased.

Jordana-
Bush-2.50$ each at Kmart. I especially love the color redwood. Very pigmented and good quality.
