What to do with makeup that doesn't match?
 

I have two everyday minerals bases that don't match my skin. One kinda sorta works when I have a tan (but I ended up spending 70% of my summer bed ridden so didn't even touch it. And I doubt I'll be getting much if any color in winter) and the other is just too red.

No one in my family either wears mineral make up and the ones who do, don't match any of the shades I have. Since they've both been opened and gently used I can't donate them, which is what I usually do with beauty products I know I'll never use so I'm at a loss with what to do with them.

Any advice?

If the undertone is right, you can use darker colors for contouring (cheeks, jaw, eyes) or lighter colors for blending your eyeshadow.

When I tried to post on MakeupAlley I got this message "At this time, swap is only open to current swappers." Any idea what that means? I'd LIKE to be a current swapper but I don't get how to become one.

I guess it means people who've swapped before. It doesn't sound like MUA.com is taking any new swappers.

I have the same problem and did not have a receipt or anything. You can use it as a under eye concealer or to mute out your lips before applying a colored lipstick. You can use it to contour, I heard you can also mix it with some kind of lotion or moisturizer and make a tinted foundation or concealer.
