Hey guys! I asked a similar wuestion before; I have spots, it's not serious acne or anything and I get them on my forehead and at side of face and I just wanted to know if anyone had tips on how to clear, prevent them, whether its particular foods, or tips or products with particular ingriedients. Like anyone with sopts it shatters my confidence and people have noticed my breakout (i am 13 so hormones and stuff, got them recently) Thanks!!

Hi Jasmine, Not everyone agrees with this, but in general, it's been proven that food doesn't have that much to do with spots or acne. They are caused by the natural hormones that your body produces now that you are becoming an adult. It might help a little to drink extra water, but in general, your diet or lifestyle isn't causing your problem.

You can try drugstore remedies - maybe ask a friend you trust or perhaps other curlies can make the best suggestions on that for you. Cleanse gently with mild soap (like Dove) and water and get extra rest. f it doesn't get better, you need to see a dermatologist (skin doctor) for the best remedy.

Definitely deal with it before it gets worse. I had it years ago and it was awful. Good luck with this - the treatments nowadays are much better than when I was your age.
2/c and some 3A. Modified CG.
Protein sensitive
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift

Low strength (2.5%) benzoyl peroxide applied every night to the entire breakout area works very well as a preventive. If you can get your parents to order online for you, there is a site called acne.org that carries a very good quality 2.5% BP, for a very reasonable cost. Their cleanser is good too, as is their moisturizer (if you need it).

Try looking up the oil cleansing method.
my face looked like braille when I was your age. I tried a ton of stuff from the dermatologist to clinques system etc. What cleared my face up and still does to this day almost 16 years later is a good exfoliator, then I used st ives apricot scrub but now I think thats a bit harsh for your face, but it helped me back then, followed by clinques moisturizing gel the oil free one they sell. I have super oily skin so that is what worked for me.
exfoliating is always gonna help though.
