I need to know more about ur regimen? What do u use? What kind of break outs r u having? R u sure its ur skin and not ur hair products? R there any allergies u may be ignoring? And last...(drum roll) have u tried the Oil Cleansing Method? I use Cetaphil...best skin ever!...but it could be better, so I would love to attempt OCM

I use Simple brand face wash gel. It has very few ingredients but after washing it makes my cheeks and sides of the face dry. I've used olay sensitive skin face wash and it was worse. i basically look for things that have very few ingredients and no scent if possible. I don't even wear makeup besides eye makeup to lower the chances of breakouts. I use benzoyl peroxide twice a day on each side of my chin where i will get monthly hormonal breakouts(much much better since using the benzoyl but not 100 percent)I had tried dove bar soap but i've heard it clogs pores..not sure if it did for me or not.with this very minimal regimen my face is usually always clear.
but i really need a moisturizer!or a gentler cleanser maybe?
hair products. i use minimal products here too,to the detriment of my hair but i'd rather have a clear face than perfect hair. so my hair is probably undermoisturized also. i have a list of comedogenic products so i try to always avoid them.
i've heard of the OCM method but i'm scared to death to put oil on my face!!
I saw a moisturizer today and there aren't any ingredients that are ranked as comedogenic BUT the first ingred is mineral oil so i'm scared to use it.
when you say cetaphil,do you mean the moisturizing lotion or the facewash?
thanks!

I wash with the fragrance free cleanser, not the face wash , then tone with dickinsons witch hazel, then a pea sized drop of the " fragrance free" moisturizing lotion. The labels are tricky, cuz they all look the same, but it works for now I'm scared to try OCM too, but I will keep researching...

Coconut oil breaks me out. OCM broke me out horribly. I get big cyst like breakouts on the sides of my face. From it.
I love Philosophy makeup removing oil. Its amazing. I also love plain old Ponds Cold Cream. Great for taking off makeup at night.
During the day, right now I'm using Clean and Clear sensitive skin. Non drying. Skin's clear and it seems to have helped DDs blackheads on her nose.
I use Equate brand retina A lotion (Or is it retinol?) At night. I use Avalon Organics vitamin C lotion - mixed w aloe BC its very thick - during the day.
I use vitamin E oil or vaseline under my eyes, and I use vaseline on dry spots BC bed.
I sometimes use Ponds dry skin cream in the winter.

I was planning for 50/50 castor/Grapeseed, in the morning only in the shower. Then tone with dickinsons witch hazel and a drop of GSO if needed. Hope I only need to refresh with water or witch hazel at night...I will use bamboo cloths to wipe (softer than microfiber OR Terri cloth)...but now I just need the guts to order the heritage castor oil from vitacost

I use oil of olay complete for sensitive skin with sunscreen. It's great for me. I have normal to dry skin in the winter.

I'd do it the other way around: OCM at night, morning refresh with water. Actually, I need to wash in the AM too. But not everyone does.
The coconut oil doesn't break me out, and I'm oily.
Is the castor oil from vitacost especially good for skin/OCM? Or is it cheaper? You can get CO from most any pharmacy.

I really like Heritage Grapeseed oil, I trust the brand, cuz I've been using it on my hair successfully. So the plan is to get Heritage brand castor oil. Vitacost sells the brand and I haven't seen it in stores...
