I have tried everything for my acne/spots and they have just gotten worse, I have more spots and they are red, itchy and tight, I will be going to the doctors but people have told me to try aloe vera gel, has anyone tried it on their acne? Has it worked? How long did it take to work? Where did it fit into your regime? Thanks guys!! X

I remember avg increasing my acne . so I stopped using it on my face. However I use it on my scalp because the small amount of protein it has reduced my shedding..

A tsp of yogurt and a tsp of gram flour reduced my acne and also made my skin clear. It didn't dry out my skin.. Maybe you can give it a try? Don't expect immediate results, but by two or three weeks, your skin should be clear if this thing suits your skin type.

I've been using AVG as a moisturizer on my face for a couple of months. It's working well so far

AVG has never helped my acne. I use a regimen of a low-pH cleanser, a low-dose benzoyl peroxide, and prescription Retin-A, as well as taking oral antibiotics, to stay mostly clear.

I am looking for an aloe vera gel that contains a minimum amount of other ingredients (such as fragrances, alcohols, preservatives, etc.) to use on my skin as a moisturizer and to help with redness.

Try a health food store. I know the some sell it with not too many ingredients. You can also harvest (is that the right word?) your own if you have an aloe vera plant. It's not at all difficult and they're pretty hardy so even if you're a certified Plant Killer it will probably survive!

Try a pharmacy. A pharmacy near my house keeps 98% aloe gel . I think AVG meant for medical purposes are devoid of too many other ingredients

The best advice I could suggest anyone to use without cleansing products around is an everyday wash using soap and warm water air dry at night. Drink lots of water (healthy for the skin)
