Best tip to INSTANTLY dry your nail polish!!!

I saw on YouTube an easy tip to quick dry your polish, and it REALLY works! Like, instantly!!!!!

After your last coat of polish, spray your nails with PAM cooking spray. Let it sit on for about 30 seconds, them wash off with soap and water, or massage into skin and cuticles.

If you don't have the spray, pour a tiny bit of olive oil in a tiny container and dunk each nail in for a couple seconds.

Since learning this tip, I have perfect nails for the first time ever. It really works!

What makes this effective?

Seems legit. There use to be a product that you could brush onto your nails to "dry" them. Basically it was oil. No sure of the science, but it did work pretty well.

I'm not sure what makes it effective, but it must be a chemical reaction. She also said you could fill an empty nail polish bottle with olive oil and brush it on. Trust me, it works!

Mary Kay made a product like that. It was made of silicone. I've had it for 15 years and it still works. I don't know if MK still sells it though.

I tried this. It doesn't quite dry your nails completely. I feel like it seals them so they might not smudge as easily though.

I was wondering if anyone had tried this out.

Smudge proofing is just as good as drying to me! I rarely get them to stay un-smudged!

I've tried this. It worked the first time, but not the second or third time, so I haven't done it again. I still ended up with nicks in my nail polish.

I now use Sally Hansen's Mirror Shine top coat that dries in 60 seconds and hardens ALL the layers so I find it works better than the PAM trick.

😱😱😱😱 mind blown trying this next week

I find that the ice water thing causes my varnish to bubble every time. I second the mirror shine for a top coat, it keeps my polish from chipping longer than anything else too (though if I'm in a super rush I resort to the seche vite which is still marginally faster but less chip proof)
