Grapeseed oil?

I love GSO in my hair, and I had heard it was great as an eye makeup remover.

I tried it tonight and it WAS great for removing the makeup, but when I put my cleanser on over that (cetaphyl gentle) it just sort of spread the oil around my face.

So... GSO on your face? Breakouts? Give me your tips, please!
2c/3a/3b, Fine/med, Dense, high porous, & normal elas.

Lo-poo - Renpure Keratin, SMR, Giovanni SaS
clarifying - mix Johnson's H2T with low poo
Co-wash - Suave Nats. clar. or coco.
RO - GVPCB, Ion Eff. Care, TN.
LI - SMR, Cure Care, or RO
Seal - MO or Jojoba
DT - + honey, ACV, & EVOO to SM masque & GVPCB
PT - Gelatin!, CNPF
Styling - FSG, AIF, BRHG, LALS/PS, GF curl spray gel, SM Souffle/Smoothie, LOOB
Oils - MO!, EVOO, jojoba, GSO, SM Elixer, EVCO, VO5 Hairdressing
I use GSO to remove my eye make up. Then I just wash my face w/ a wash cloth, soap and warm water. (I don't use cleanser. Occasionally, I have used baby wipes, tho.)

Maybe you used too much GSO?

I just used a few drops on my eyes, tho!

I will make another attempt and see how it goes! I'll probably rinse more before using the soap this time!

I get tempted to try the oil cleanse method every now and then, but just can't bring myself to go for it! Lol!

Did you make sure to wipe the oil off before washing with the cleanser?
No MAS.

I did, but not thoroughly. I assumed the soap would take it off! Not so much with Cetaphyl Gentle...

I pull a big cotton ball in half and use each half for each eye. I put a couple of drops of GSO on each half cotton ball, wipe the makeup off, and then like turn over to the clean side of each half cotton ball and kinda wipe up the greasy, black mess.

I use cetaphil gentle and it did NOT remove the GSO to remove eye makeup. Unfortunately I DID break out around my eyes, but I have super reactive skin and definitely used too much I love it for my hair tho

I haven't used GSO on my face but I did try the oil cleansing method. My face broke out like CRAZY with coconut oil, Shea butter, and safflower oil. I use straight castor oil to remove my makeup and cleanse my face and I love it. I tone and moisturize afterwards and everything is everything :-P
Thank you, I ended up getting Spectro Jel Cleanser for Blemish Prone Skin, as my skin breaks out easily, and while I don't have acne, my chin and nose are such trouble areas. Its a very no frills cleanser lol, but I like it. Haven't tried it with makeup on but I fill my brows lightly with powder each day since theyre naturally sparse and it took that off easily so we'll see.

Pretty much any oil is great for removing makeup, especially olive oil. I actually wash my whole face with oil. Try wetting a washcloth with hot water, set it over your eyes until it starts to cool, then wipe. Do this 3 times and you should be able to get most of it off

Castor oil is the most cleansing oil, but can be drying. I personally love a mixture of 80% sunflower oil and 20% castor oil.
