I had my lips lined. I love it. It looks very natural. The healing process took a while though and I looked all kinds of stupid in the meantime. But eventually the color settled and now I love my lips! Shop around, look at portfolios. Don't go for the cheapest.
I am the new Black.

I had permanent eyeliner done. Because I'm very fair-skinned, I chose a faun/soft brown color, so it would match my eyelashes and eyebrows, but not stand out as blatantly unnatural.
Sadly, I can't even see it anymore. Someone else noticed it a week or two ago, and I was so surprised that at first I said, "But I'm not wearing any makeup."
I agree with TNB about healing time: it was rough. My eyes were very swollen for several days. I had to coat the skin in mineral oil, which was thick and felt awful.
If I had the chance to do it again, I wouldn't. I have some blank spots in my eyebrows that I'd like to fill in, but I just don't want to go through the process again. And I heard after my process that the tattoo artist was dishonest with another customer, and though she was all right with me, I no longer trust her. Unfortunately for everyone else though, she's the only one in the area who does cosmetic tattoo work.
