Spinoff: Which make-up item could you NOT live without...

You absolutely have to have this one product and would give up the others if you had to.

i cannot live without foundation.

i have lousy skin. and since people always say that with good skin one isn't supposed to need anything else, i need that illusion!

Mascara. I look like a rabbit without it.

CurlsWannaHaveFun 01-25-2004 03:17 PM

I'd actually say lipgloss, which isn't listed. Everything else I could let go. Bronzer would be second for me to keep.

my beloved lip balm. i used to collect all of the bonne bell lip smackers flavors, but i stopped that after highschool. i'm getting the itch to start up a new collection

goldy, what you need are the grown-up version of lip smackers - MAC's Taste Tease lipglass stains! :D

goldy 01-26-2004 08:52 AM

hmm.. maybe i'll try those out. is the color just slight? i never wear lipstick so looking at myself with color on my lips is weird. but i would love to transition into lipstick. i especially love how dark deep reds look :)

These are so great. I have the coco framboise and the caramel, and am very tempted since they are LE to pick up at least one more and some spares. So yummy, so pretty, tho if you're a lip licker, perhaps not a good idea. Rou, you're turning me into a MAC harlot. I wouldn't have known about them except for you. Thank you!

They can go on relatively sheer or you can layer them with lipstick. Or you can apply heavily for more color. The coco framboise is pretty intense when heavily applied for example but if I apply it lightly it's more of a stain. And they are less goopy than standard lip glasses but they stay on reasonably well for a gloss assuming you're not eating.

I can't wait to kiss somebody with them on---heck they make me want to kiss myself! :D

I voted 'Other': Concealer!

Most days my concealer is all I wear on my face, but I very very
rarely don't wear it. Hereditary dark circles that get
way too many stares and sometimes rude questions! :(

naturalt 01-26-2004 01:09 PM

I voted blush. I need a little color on these cheeks :).

MzShvy 01-26-2004 04:28 PM

Mascara! My lashes are so light, it doesn't look like I have any!

I had to pick foundation. I get the most awful break-outs around the time of my period. If I layer foundation up, it covers up well.

Next on my list would be powder, to stop the shine.

But, apart from 'make my skin look ok' products, the one thing I couldn't live without would be vaseline.

Curly Kiwi 01-27-2004 06:51 PM

Definitely eyeliner... I need to wear eyeliner. I feel very insecure without my little kohl pencil

My lippie - Lancome Visionary. I've been wearing it for years, and just heard they're discontinuing it, so I'm stock-piling.

I think I have enough to last me til I'm 80 now. :)
