Paula's Choice Skin Care

I'm super interested in Paula's Choice, specifically the Skin Balancing system because I have combination skin. Have any of y'all used any Paula's Choice products, and what did you think?
I would suggest you to use natural products, which provide excellent care to your skin. Most of the natural skin care products consist of honey and Propolis. Many products have a combination of milk and Propolis in it. All this natural ingredients give glow and moisturize your skin. Find more information regarding Propolis here.
I haven't used Paula's Choice, so I can't offer an opinion there, but I have combination-dry skin that gets congested easily. I have been getting great results with Mario Badescu products. They have balance my dry areas without over-moisturizing the normal areas, and improved the texture of my skin as well. I like that they are reasonably priced, effective, and I can get them on the ground at Ulta.
All the products on the website are coded by skin type- C-combination, D-Dry, S-sensitive, and so on and so forth, and that makes choosing appropriate products really easy.
If you go to their website, they have an online consultation tool that will recommend products specifically for you. Additionally, they will also send you some (6, I think) generous samples of products recommended for you.
I know this is not the brand you requested information on, but hopefully it is helpful to you anyways!

I have not used Paula's Choice but was curious about others experiences with the products. I have seen great reviews for them but I am always turned off by PC's product reviews. I have not came across a good one yet. They seem to slam every other company, call them liars, say particular ingredients do not do what they claim (when they do and it takes little to no research to triple check this). They seem to have the harshest views on more natural skin care lines which makes me a little nervous as well.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

On top of that, my skin has been very peculiar- I wouldn't call it sensitive per se, but I do seem to have random reactions to products, usually resulting in hives. I used up most of the samples, decided on a cleanser and moisturizer, and ordered additional samples of toners and exfoliants so I could decide what worked best together. I just ordered the rest of my products tonight. For the first time, my skin is clearing up, it's less oily, feels softer, and no hives. I've tried way more expensive products that didn't make my skin this happy.

I completely understand the skin issues. I am 38, inching closer to 39, and at 36 my skin started having a melt down. I had a really bad reaction to a couple products and minor ones to several after that. At one point my skin was so inflamed that capillaries busted on my cheeks and top of my nose. I had to stop using everything and search for a line that helped. That is when I first stumbled across reviews for PC but I ended up going with Ilike (which PC's hates). It helped me get my skin in check, and was easy to purchase and talk to pro's about because it was sold at a local business BUT I am still working on figuring out a few things thanks to the changes that come with age. Sigh

So I started looking around. Last June I had an allergic reaction to sunless tanner and my skin has been haywire ever since. Random hives every so often without being able to pinpoint a specific culprit. Today I'm wearing a barely tinted moisturizer with a little powder over it and my co-worker couldn't believe how good my skin looked.

But when I did my skincare purge last week, I did keep two masks that got bad reviews from PC because I liked how they worked (admittedly, GlamGlow Super Mud was not very good as a mask, but is an excellent overnight spot treatment). I compare it to my hair routine. Despite all of the CG hype here, I have a handful of styling products with silicones and a sulfate shampoo that will need to be pried from my cold dead hands. If it works, who cares what anyone else says?

I have gotten good results improving my acne and red marks using PC Clear 2% BHA liquid. I think it's in her exfoliants section on her website. I've been using the regular strength and am very happy with it. On a whim in a recent sale, I am trying the extra strength (as well as ordered a spare of the regular strength) -- neither has arrived yet.

I've been using different PC products for years. I really like her exfoliants and alternate between her daily BHA products and AHA products. I also use the weekly BHA and AHA products in her Resist line. They have been very helpful for my 52 year old skin that still gets occasional breakouts. The other product that I've been using lately is the Vit C. And in the summer I will sometimes use her shine reducer product on top of my sunscreen. It does a great job in humidity.

I ordered the skin balancing kit and the weekly BHA treatment! It hasn't come in yet, but hopefully it'll be amazing when I use them!

I saw this topic and had to reply. I really, really love Paula's Choice.

I'm using her Clinical anti redness solution, 2% BHA Clear liquid, Skin Balancing Toner, Resist Ultra light anti oxidant concentrate and the Skin Balancing mask and I can say that at age 20, after 7 years of suffering from acne, after trying every acne product on the shelf, getting doctors prescriptions, her products have been the only ones that have truly said what they're going to do on the label and made a difference.

Yes I do still have acne and what I believe are red/purple acne scars, but I have MUCH less active spots then what I used to.It's not just the reduction of pimples though, my skin is a lot smoother and more radiant than what it was. Its less inflamed looking and makeup applies much better.

I can understand why someone would be hesitant about her products because she IS opinionated and rubbishes a lot of brands but you know what, there are a lot of really awful skin products out there conning people out of money with poor formulations and ingredients, and I don't think it's a bad thing that someone will stand up and say it. Her brand/skincare product reviews aren't all bad, in fact it's been a big help in finding affordable products outside her range that I know don't contain anything irritating. Her products, combined with her advice on other brands products and treatments such as benzoyl peroxide have really improved my skin. Say what you want but she knows good skincare.

This was my skin at the start of the year, very sore, red and inflamed.

This was my skin a few weeks ago, it's really calmed down and I no longer have any spots on my cheeks or nose, just a few on my chin and under it. I'm really happy with it. Please excuse the hairnet

The only negatives I have for PC is that in the UK it's quite expensive. I don't like that she reviews her own products as part of her beautypedia, to me that's totally redundant, obviously she's going to be biased and if she wasn't 100% pleased with her own formulations why would she review them. I also don't pay attention to her cosmetics reviews, they're very much based on personal taste in my opinion, and I think she only likes neutrals.
