MAC lipstick & lipliners
So many preeeeettttty colors *hypnotized* How are their lipsticks? Are they long-wearing? Do you line the lips before or after you've applied the lipstick? How do you know what color you should use to line? Back to looking at specktra's swatch gallery...

I don't use lipliner, but I do like their lipsticks (and I'm not really a lipstick person). They are very creamy and moderately long-wearing. It doesn't stay on all day, but I can drink a cup of coffee without having to reapply.

They're lipsticks are the only ones I buy. I love them, especially the amplified ones because they are super creamy and last longer, plus they're more pigmented. I like most of the different finishes, but unfortunately as much as I love the lustre and glaze finishes, they don't last anytime at all on me, so I usually just buy the Amplified ones. I have several of their lipliners, but honestly I hate using lipliner, I just don't like to feel 'too' made up.

MAC does have it's own version of the long-wearing lipsticks on the market (Pro-Longwear in 2 formulations), but their regular lipsticks are just like any other for wearability.
i'm embarrassed to tell you how many MAC lipsticks i have...
but the absolute PERFECT MAC lipstick is Viva Glam 5 - a sheer pink-brown that suits many, MANY skin tones!

Even though I have full lips, I haven't worn a lot of lipsticks because I'm always afraid of it not staying put. "Thats a shame" So I guess that's my biggest concern. Anywho, thanks for the viva glam v reccomendation rou! I'm also tempted by the "Plum dandy". Looks so pretty but not sure if it would good with my NC20 tone. I was looking at the pro-longwear lustre's since I read on the review boards that it's better than the original lipcolor. *shrugs* So many colors, so little time!

doo, if you want to get long-lasting wearability from any product, get Benefit's "She-Laq". you put it over any lipstick and it will stay until you put a gloss over it or eat it off!!!

OK, I'm already a PJ, have recently become a BPAL-ite, and have always been a lipstick whore. I do not need to be reading this thread. Especially since I just opened a new browser window so I look up the color Roquinne mentioned. Please, someone, for the good of my budget, ban me from this thread.

Yep, VG 5 is one of my all-time fave MAC lipsticks, the lipglass too.
I checked out the new plushglass shades yesterday while I was there exchanging my foundation and they were gorgeous, or at least I was eyeing 2 of them.

So I got Viva Glam V. I'm going to try it with a liner.
It is a really nice color. I was tempted to get two lipsticks, but I'd already run a 30 dollar bill. Had to leave.
