new collection in the stores tomorrow!!!

Strange Hybrid

mostly cool colours (again) including the most GORGEOUS dark, DARK purple eyeshadow i have ever seen - Fertile! and it's a veluxe pearl, so it will go on sheer or can be built up!!!

5 new lippies, 3 new shades of lipglass, 2 pretty pale pigments and 2 new shades of blush - unfortunately, most of it is LE!!!

I got this e-mail yesterday and I've been wanting to try a purple eyeshadow! Purple eyeshadow compliments brown eyes, right? It is gorgeous. And it goes on sheer and be build up....I like that....

I'm such a slut, I do eyelash extensions but won't get them myself because I'm too addicted to my MAC mascara ... do I qualify?

but... well...

i don't use MAC mascara because i refuse to pay that much money for something that only lasts 3 months!

The right shade of purple and correct application can look very elegant and sophisticated. The reason many people stay away from purple is the fact that drugstore purple eyeshadows tend to be very frosted, or too light-bright, giving that trashy look. But richly-pigmented, deeper, more muted tones can be the new brown, if applied correctly. Take one's underlying skintone into consideration too.
And always blend, blend, blend! Good makeup brushes are totally worth the investment for this!

MAC's ProLash is what I use and it only costs $11US here ... just a bit more than regular drugstore mascara. It must be much more expensive up in your neck of the woods!

MAC cosmetics are manufactured in Canada. they are cheaper here where we don't have to pay duty on them - even factoring in the exchange rate.

i've been using MAC since before it's been available in stores and i don't like their mascara at all.

I have to be honest. I went and got the SlimShine in Scant yesterday. LOVE it! Love it so much that I went back today and bought two more (it's LE, which means that since the color is perfect for me they'll never make it again

). And an eye kohl.

Oh-oh! Looks like a shopping trip coming up! I need some new makeup anyway, and I'm getting some birthday cash, so what better time to indulge?? "Fertile" sounds fab - any of you know just how hard it is to find good deep shades of purple eyeshadow in the drugstore? I was also looking at the MAC "Shadowy Lady" a beautiful deep blue-violet that is wonderful to use as an eye definer over their "Tarnish"(deep smoky green, again hard to find at lower end)eye pencil, on the outer corner of the eyes. Yes, purple eyeshadows and liners make all shades of brown and green eyes pop because it is more of an opposite(complimentary)color!

oh, is there an update for you pigment lovers:

Rushmetal

8 new shades of pigment - most of them soft and sheer with the exception of Off the Radar - an orange gold shade.

4 new LE lippies (including my old fav Frenzy, which i will have to stock up on with some of my 20+ empties).

and

Flashtronic

more of the mineralized skin finishes in pink, peach and gold, plus 6 mineralize eye shadows and 4 LE shades of lip glass.
