Default this is my exact eye color (eye makeup advice) *pssst *rou!

I have a slightly tanned complexion
the advice ppl give for hazel or brown eyes never really brings out my eyes
since i'm in the middle...
but here is my eye color
(i have a darker brown ring around the out side, and maybe a bit of olive green in the lower middle. but from a normal distance away its this colour....).

No advice, but I hate you. Really. I have the darkest brown eyes you can imagine, and I am pasty white. I love women of color with dark brown eyes because on them it looks exotic. On me - not so much. Seriously - beautiful color - I am green with envy!

Your probably not as pasty as you think three rivers
i know alot of girls who have pale skin and it looks nice
but they always complain about how pasty they are and go get a tan
i personally like pale skin
blush looks really good on them if ur really THAT pasty..it makes ur face glowly

Yep - really pasty. If I at least had some natural color in my cheeks I would feel better. My lips are also very pale.

How is the search for eye makeup coming? Rouquinne wrote a column (I think in Aug) about eye shadow colors. You may want to check it out.

I read it. sorry to say it didn't help..
in her article it said "the color opposite of ur eye color"
(on the color wheel)
the color wheel was : red, yellow, orange, blue ,green ,and purple
my eye color would be somewher ner the orange..or yellow..
and the opposite are blue and purple
i've been trying differnt shades of blue (dark blue, baby blue, indigo and steel blue)
but no luck....
i just got a dark purple eyeliner and it still doesn't seem to make my eye color pop... or even bring out the honey under tones

Hey H., two words for you: colored contacts! I have fairly pasty skin and brown eyes, but I cheat. Looks really natural, or so I'm told by people who didn't realize my eyes were actually brown. I am terrified they're going to stop making these lenses though!

*Sorry to guano your post Nazzy! I will defer to other curlies who are makeup gurus on the advice answer.

I have always thought that you had to have a prescription to get those things. :headscratch:headscratch.gif

Nope, there's lots available with no correction My mother got a sample pack of the non-prescription lenses in 6 different colors for about $75. The manufacturer still recommends you see a doc first though. I would probably suggest that too, if you've never worn contacts.

I love mine! When the ones for dark eyes first came out I tried them and they were scary--I looked like a demon. They've come a long way and do look quite natural.

:kisses:kisses.gif Thanks for the info! I am excited - I'll have to see who carries them in my area - Bethel Park. Thanks!

naz, i've told you everything i know...

Almay has a new product that claims to have the "perfect" colour to go with certain eye colours. the one for brown eyes is purple.

just try whatever you like that you think looks good.

I have the same color, maybe a couple shades lighter on the honey, and my ring is dark blue grey. I have light to medium olive skin.

The *only* color that complements my odd hazel eyes, as far as liner and mascara, is black. Believe me, I've tried *everything*.

For special ocaasions, I sweep a little bit of lavender across my lids, that seems to warm my eyes up, oddly.
