How to keep eyeshadow from creasing?

I don't know if its because I have extremely oily skin or what, but within two hours my eyeshadow creases HORRIBLY. I mean, there is a bold, visible line creased eyeshadow that stretches clear across my eyelid. How do I prevent this, and why is it happening? What am I doing wrong?

Current routine: Um, I don't feel like updating my siggie every thirty minutes. I'm experimenting right now! (loving the overnight plop!)
you're not doing anything wrong - i have oily eyelids myself and use eye shadow primer or paint-style shadows as a base.

my favourite bases are MAC Paint in Bare Canvas or Benefit Lemon Aid.

i LOVE lumene eyeshadow base. i get it for $10 at cvs...tthe best i've tried and it lasts a long time. it has no color so you can do what you wish with your shadows.
