Do I need moisturizer?

I normally wash my face with neutogena oil-free acne wash cream cleanser on a washcloth, followed by clean and clear dual action moisturizer, and standard clearasil acne cream (to fight blemishes and keep the oil down). If I've got a huge zit, I'll use clean and clear advantage spot treatment. Semi-involved routine that I'm a little tired of.

But last night, I stayed at my BF's place and forgot the moisturizer, so I just washed my face as usual and put clearasil on. Did the same thing this morning before the gym, and both times, my skin felt a bit tight but not oily, and really, it looked good. After the gym, I used some moisturizer, but only a very tiny amount. I'm liking this, but I wonder, will not using moisturizer make my acne-prone, semi-oily skin break out?
light brown, 3B at the crown, with 3A underneath. Beyond baby-fine and cut in a layered bob, which I am trying to grow out.

No matter how hard you try to hide them, your inner curls will always come out. Why not make them look good?
the short answer is no.

but moisturizer does work to keep skin soft, which helps impurities that cause zits work their way to the surface so they can be washed away.

IMO, most oily-skinned people do not need moisturizers. They usually just clog you and cause more acne.

There are very few wrinkle creams that actually do anything. Retin-A is one. Copper Peptides is another. That's about it. Neither are moisturizers, per se, although CP's are often put into a moisturizer base. Sunscreen/avoiding-the-sun is preventative of wrinkles too.
Well, I believe I'll just quit using all that junk on my face then! I used to have such clear, smooth skin!
