Default Micro-dermabrasion?

There's a buy two get one free deal at Boots, and I was thinking about buying a tube of micro-dermabrasion stuff. But is it much good? Does it work that much better than 'normal' exfoliator?

I've got some redness around my nose and some reddish marks caused by acne. Will it help with that?

Can I use it under my eyes? I've got some fine lines and obviously I want to make them better not worse!

Thanks!

DON'T use those creams near your eyes - they can actually harm your eyes if the stuff gets in them. the granules are sooooo tiny.

when you have a microdermabrasion treatment the traditional way, they REALLY protect your eyes!

these aren't good for redness, abrasion cleansing can actually make it worse.

if you have scarring from acne, peels will be better.

Thanks, Rou. It's the redness I'd like to get rid of. I think it's caused by years of breakouts in the same area. Do you think a glycolic peel would work then?

i got better results from peels for residual acne scarring than anything else.

but if your redness is from broken capillaries, there's not much you can do that won't be expensive. that's what most of mine is now....

Thanks, Rou.

I'm thinking of getting the Boots No 7 glycolic peel. I have one of those 5 off vouchers.
