Rouquinne...

Hey.. Queston about peels since you said microdermabrasion can harm your eyes.. What do you recommend for a Proactiv user who wants to get rid of dark spots? I did hear about peels before but, since I'm using Proactiv I haven't gotten anything yet because I don't want to do more harm than good to my skin. However, I do want an even tone even though my face is pimple free(most days that is)

So should I get microdermabrasion or a peel over the counter & what brand(s)? TIA!!

if you don't have other pigmentation issues, microdermabrasion can help with dark spots. i know that i noticed a reduction in the scars on my cheeks after microdermabrasion.

it's broken capillaries that are exacerbated by microdermbrasion.

if you're completely new to peels, i suggest starting with milder versions and working your way up (i think RCW will disagree with me here.) but it won't help if you try a stronger version and have to wash it off in a minute because it burns - been there, done that!

you might want to consider the Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion and Peel System as a starting point. it's gentle and, best part, inexpensive - so you won't have a huge outlay if you find it doesn't work for you.

the Avon and Neutrogena peels are also good starting places for the same reason.

Thanks Rou..
I am new to Peels & Microdermabrasions. I think I'm going to try the Olay System. I used Olay before Proactiv & I like their line. Is Peels better than Microdermabrasion? Or, what targets what? Because what I ultimately want is an even radiant tone. No acne marks. Or scars.

What are you implying, Rou? I always tell people to START SLOW.
