How many lipsticks...?
How many tubes of lipstick can one woman own? Is it possible to have to many? I bought a couple tubes last night and I feel an obsession coming on...

I've been thinking lately that one can never have too much of ANY makeup & have been feeling an obsession coming on. I welcome it with open arms!

No such thing as "too much" when it comes to how much makeup/lipstick one owns. I have dozens of lipsticks...and they all have different purposes.

lol rou!!
I tend to shy away from the pinks. I asked hubby about it and his thoughts were "what's wrong with a subtle enchancement? why do you have to go all out?" I wonder what he thinks about the red lipstick I bought yesterday. I love it so I haven't felt the need to ask. As long as I feel pretty, right? So yeah, I wonder why I shy away from the pinks...they look pretty on other people....

I'm a lipstick fanatic. The only problem is.... I have to have two of every color instead of just one. One for my vanity and one for my purse.

I've had so many colors turn strange on me that I now stick with things that claim can be worn by any skin tone. They're the safest bet anymore for my chameleon skin, although I've had some turn pink, some turn peachy & others turn yellow. Either way, that's my subtle enhancement!

Drew would be allowed to buy a gift card for MAC or Sephora, but that's as close as he'd get to buying makeup for me!

I trust my husband! Sometimes I think he's better than me at picking out colors that look good on me. He's picked everything from eyeshadow to nail polish, and it always looks good. He once picked out the perfect shade of lip pencil to tone down a red lipstick that turned fuchsia on me.
I would let him buy makeup any time, though he usually does gift cards, as he knows how much I like to play and try on.
He's pretty good at fragrances too. He's got a killer sense of smell!

how many lipsticks
Guess I'm in the minority here - I have just one lipstick, which I wear with everything, day or night, plus one lipgloss, to be worn at night over my one lipstick.
Some of that extends to rest of my makeup too - one blush, one foundation, one eye pencil. I do have three shades of eyeshadow though - one to be used as a highligher at night, one basic warm-medium neutral, and one dark violet to smudge the outer part of my eye pencil liner. My whole gig fits into one little bag, along with travel sizes of some skincare. Grab 'n' go! I'm at the point where I'd rather have just one of everything in a decent workable color and it be of higher quality than a bunch of cheap makeup where the colors "almost" work but don't, really.

I just bought a new lipstick, from Neutrogena. It's "Sparkly Nude".
I thought There's barely any color, if any at all! Back to the store it goes!
And here I used a coupon on it I could have used on something of that brand that was worthy. sad3: The upside of this is, the coupon was for two items so I got the Lash Tint & tried it too once home. Though it is dark, there was ZERO clumping & it did not go on thick!

The Lash Tint is supposedly not even a mascara. It was recommended to me on this site by a couple people.
Here's the information from the back of the box:
It's got the blessing of Acuvue Contact Lenses.

Ooooo!! Where did you buy yours? I wonder if they have it at CVS. There's one right down the road from my work...

They have it at WalMart & Walgreen's, so they'll have it at CVS.
I wish we had a CVS too!
ETA: I'm using it on the upper lashes where they're heavier/thicker & the regular mascara on the bottom where they're lighter/thinner. It all works out.
