Default Another MAC lipsticks thread

I just can't get over the color selection!!! Some of them seem like odd colors for lipsticks. For example, Blast o' Blue, Pomposity and Meltdown. I can't imagine those colors looking good on anyone! And the different variations they have in browns and pinks....unbelievable!! How does one chose?

Don't try them on. A friend of mine got oral herpes from trying on lipstick in department stores.

My all-time MAC faves are Jubilee (daytime), Rococo (mostly for nighttime, shimmery ), and Midimauve (also at night). I've got big lips so I can't overdo it with lip color without looking like a tool.

you can disinfect them before trying them...That works pretty well, right?

MAC discontinues all of my favorites. I'll never forgive them for discontinuing Freckle...those pricks.

MAC disinfects every lipstick before you try it on.

At counters out here, they won't always disinfect them automatically. Sometimes you have to ask them/prompt them. But they're happy to do it and they always have the wipes available.

Sometimes the counters get very busy and they just can't stay on top of who's tried on what.

But yeah, I love that I can try them on...and wipe them off.

"Fresh brew" has a similar color value to "Freckle" but is so sheer...just not the same. Looks like Freckle when in the tube but on my lips it's like colorless Vaseline. grrr
