RCW converts- progress?

I was hoping we could get a thread started where those of us attempting to follow RCW's skincare plan could post about our progress and which products have been working for us. I have been convinced to try it from everyone's positive posts, but I would love to hear that it is working for people, especially those of you that are acne-prone, because I still have a little mental block with using detergent-free cleanser and oil on my face to get rid of zits, you know? My products have been ordered and while I wait for them I would love to hear about how things have been going for the rest of you and maybe help some others who were on the fence like me take the plunge. (Plus, its always nice to hear positive stories about people getting compliments on their skin )

I switched to DY Wheat Germ Cleanser over a month ago. It cleared up three zits that I had since before Christmas right away. My skin looked better, I am not sure how to describe it other than the color looked better, clearer and no new zits.

Well, I had a brain fog moment about a week and a half ago and washed my face one time with Neutrogena Acne Wash and within a day I had a constellation of zits on my chin. It could be a variety of things, a lot of personal stress in my family in the last month, not-so-good job changes, poor diet (french fries and mayonnaise-my ultimate comfort food), and PMS-but I can't help thinking that if I had not washed my face with the neutrogena, I would not have broken out on my chin so bad.

I have also been using neutrogena anti-acne, anti-wrinkle cream with retinol and salicylic acid because I have a whole tube to use up. Well, this breakout convinced me that RCW is right about quality products-I am going to go ahead and order BHA and some other things to completely get my skin in shape!

I love the DY Wheat Germ cleanser, it rinses off so easily and I love how it leaves my face feeling smooth and moisturized with no dry patches!
I tried the PSF Castile cleanser first. So-so results. So I asked for more help. I was using Clinique's Mild Clarifying Lotion because it has SA in it. Well, RCW told me to stop using it so I did. I ordered 5% SA from PSF with some Vit. C. Then I ordered a Clarisonic.....

I'm not going back! My skin looks so much better! My breakouts have subsided and my skin is glowing!

I have ordered some Retin-A from MedsMex so that I can slowly work my way into using it.

I have now decided that before I try to use anything new, I'm going to run by RCW and see what she thinks first.

I love Jessicurl HCC, Jessicurl Too Shea, KCKT, KCCC, CK and HESMU...but it took a LOT of trial error to get to these products that consistently work for ME.
I've been on RCW's routine for about a month now I guess and i'm starting to see progress now. I had very dry and flakey skin with a lot of blemishes (for the last 5-6 months). My skin is less dry and the blemishes are slowly fading. There are still a couple hanging around on my forehead and chin, I guess they just love it out there.

I use DY wheat germ cleanser, DY salicylic acid and jojoba oil for moisturizer. This is my routine:

AM:
cleanse with WGC using face brush
apply SA (wait 30 minutes)
moisturize with jojoba oil

PM:
cleanse with WGC using face brush
apply SA

I don't use a moisturizer at night because i don't feel i need to since my skin isn't as dry as it used to be and i'm too tired to wait 30 minutes before going to bed.

Yomini, do you like the face brush? Those of you who use PSF- do you just apply the cleanser with your fingers? I am way too broke to spring for a clarisonic, but maybe I should get a cheaper brush of some kind?

my skin is a LOT better. in fact i have no active pimples now and it's only been 2-3 weeks. i still have marks from previous acne but no new pimples. i wouldn't say my skin is smooth but it's also not bumpy...i'm sticking with it!! i also use the olay microdermabrasion kit i already had and a peel i already had. once i run out of the olay kit i'm going to buy some crystals rcw mentioned to combine with the psf cleanser. i also use a clarisonic. i'm happy!!!

i have had great results too. very happy that i spent the money on the products.

blackheads and clogged pores are slowing disappearing on my nose. overall, my skin is softer and smoother with a nice glow. i still have some work to do on my chin area, and hopefully, within the next 2 to 3 months, i will see significant improvement in that area.

if you are interested, there is also a results thread on the Over 40 forum.

I am loving the routine recommended by RCW. I've been on it for about a month. I used to be really oily and breakout often but my skin is now soft, glowing, smooth, almost poreless, and no major breakouts!

I still have to wait to see what that TOM will bring. I usually get a spot or two the week before. But since that TOM occurs only 4 times a year thanks to my BC, my skin is clearer for longer periods of time.

I'm using PSF's castile cleaner, BHA, and Vitamin C serum. I did try the WGC and like it just as much as the PSF. Like Yomini, I'm using a facial brush but it's because I can't reconcile the $195 price tag for the clarisonic. I think using a facial brush has made a big difference. I used to just use my hands but I think the brush gently exfoliates every time I cleanse allowing products to penetrate better.

The brush I used is by Nature's Therapeutics. It costs just $2.99 at Ulta and is not rough at all.

I have been following RCW's recommendations for a little over a month and I am EXTREMELY pleased with the results.

I never had a true acne problem, but have always stuggled with oil and blackheads. In the past month my skin has improved so much - I don't feel like I need to recheck, blot, and repowder my face a million times throughout the day! The blackheads are slowly but surely disappearing. My makeup goes on so smoothly now.

Before trying these products I feel like I had tried everything out there (drugstore and department store brands), and truly felt like the results I had been getting were the best that could be expected. Now I know better !
What does RCW stand for? TIA (:

My skin is prone to dryness and while I have not had lots of skin issues in the past, I am less happy with the way it looks as I get older (I'm 33). Yesterday, my PSF samples arived in the mail (along with a full size of HA). This morning I washed my face with PSF Castile. Since I don't have a facial brush, I used an infant hairbrush I have lying around. I applied some eye stuff (PSF Cranberry Lift something..) in hopes that I can be consistent and maybe it will minimize the circles under my eyes. I then moisturized with jojoba oil and HA. I didn't expect to see a difference, and there really isn't one in the areas I have more trouble (mainly dark circles under my eyes), but overall I noticed that my skin seems brighter. Actually, my son asked me if I have new makeup, and I'm not wearing any yet . I think the exfoliation really made a difference in the overall appearance of my skin, and I am liking the way my skin feels moisturized (it is typically dry and has been flaky in areas lately) but not greasy. I'm pretty excited about this, I hope it continues to improve.

For my brother to tell me I look good is the greatest compliment, cause he's also quick to let me know (oh so gently, "maybe you might want to try that lotion that has a little concealer make up in it") when I'm looking anything less than perfect.

It will be a couple months, but I can't wait to let him see my RCW routine face

so for the past 2 days i've been using the psf castille cleanser, 5% SA, and HA w/jojoba for moisture at night. i don't see any huge difference yet, i wasn't expecting to, but my skin does seem a little bit red and still oily. i was going to stop moisturizing but the redness is making me think my skin is dry, even though it is still oily? what should I be looking out for? I am not getting more new zits than usual (a few whiteheads have popped up, but I am not worried about that). How can I tell if my skin is dry or not- I have never thought about the possibility that it could be dry and/or sensitive before.

Is the 5% SA too strong for you? Have you used it before, started with the 2%?

I have not used the 2% from PSF. I have used all sorts of drugstore SA products (which I know from RCW aren't really acids anymore) but I have also tried any sort of maximum strength anything that was over the counter, all manner of face washes, creams, toners, and I have never experienced irritation of any kind, very rarely have I had dryness, and except for the fact that I have been breaking out for the past year worst than ever before, my face hasn't hurt and my skin has been a little oily but never red. It doesn't hurt now, and it only looks slightly red. maybe I should have gone with the 2% but I guess I wasn't that concerned beforehand since I've never had trouble before. I got a sample size so I am going to have to order a full size amount soon and I am hoping to figure out before then if I should go down in strength. Maybe my skin will get used to it in another couple of days?
