Default two questions: witch hazel and african black soap. (RCW?)

any thoughts on african black soap? i know there's been threads on it in the past, but it seems that people have learned more and changed their opinions on things as these threads have progressed.

also, i'm waiting for my orders from psf and skincarecentral to start RCW's skin care routine. the one modification i have to make, is that often i work during the day, and need to wear makeup, then come home and work out, then go out in the evening (makeup again).

i was thinking that going through that whole routine more than twice a day (am/pm) might be too much for my skin. i need to clean the makeup off my face before working out, and i need to clean the sweat off after. can i use witch hazel toner for those times? or is there something else you would recommend?

thanks to everyone in advance for your help!

If you are thinking of using bottled witch hazel from the drug store, I would say it has a lot of alcohol and can be very drying. Witch hazel is a great astringent, good for calming abrasions or inflamed skin. As a cleanser? MHO but I would go with a simple cheap liquid makup remover and/or low alcohol toner.

There is Thayer's Alcohol-free Witch Hazel.

Check out the different formulas: http://www.thayers.com/store/index.p...=index&cPath=3

I have the Lavender with Aloe Vera & love it.

GNC & Whole Foods are the stores near me that carry such.
