Coily I'm glad you didn't buy on ebay...because those palettes are a permanent addition to the MAC line.

Me too! I love this palette!!! I've never loved a piece of makeup this much. EVER. This is WAY better than the MUFE one.

free standard shipping through midnight Sunday to Canada and the US with code GLOW at checkout.

since the foundation i've been using has been discontinued, it might be a good idea to check this one out.

Ya'll are BAD influences!

I went and bought 3 regular shadows, 1 eye pigment, 1 blush, the oil cleanser, the Fix+ and I'm sure there was more...that's all I can remember. I'm totally going back, but maybe shopping it online instead of the Nordstrom counter. I wanted some funky colors and they kept suggesting taupe or copper or pinks or purples.

Listen, people. MAC101 is purchasing taupes and neutral colors, usually. At least, for any of my white friends who have gone to MAC, their palette begins with taupe, bronze, brown and coppers. Pinks and purples are the next graduation...boring!

I'm a white, white, white redhead (well, hennahead) with lots of freckles. The neutrals are great, but I have a bajillion of them! Pink and purple...while I can wear them successfully once in a great while, I'm not spending MAC prices for colors I wear occasionally.

Finally found a slamming coppery green and some other fun colors, so after my haul, I took my bad self off to Sephora where they treated me better and I spent more.

THEN I got attacked by the kiosk people that try to convert you to their skin care plan of $3000 for 3 products, which gives you a 3 year supply (because...ya know, it's only like $2/day...but you only use it once a month...their math is severely skewed). And I won't pay $3000 for any kind of skin care at what I make right now. Maybe when I make $3000 every time I breathe, I might consider it.

So...after my experience at MAC/Sephora/and the super-agressive kiosk...I'm internet shopping for the rest of my MAC wish list!

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

Nope, it was actually a pigment called Golden Olive. BUT I do own Sumptuous Olive and it's divine. I've had it for a couple years and it's always a fun time when I use it. People say it makes my eyes look the same color as the shadow.

But don't worry because I bought 2 shadows that I ALREADY OWN! Dammit! That means I have to go to the Nordstrom counter to return them. FML.

I did get told multiple times today that I look amazing. I guess that's what happens when I do my makeup. I should probably do it more often. Might even get a date...

Well, if I ONLY return the eyeshadows and don't go to Sephora, I don't have to be strong. It was the kiosk outside Sephora that had me pinned down and trying to sell me $3000 face products. And insulting my skin and intelligence at the same time (pardon me for having an allergic reaction to a new medication and having dry, patchy rashes so my skin looked like hell...). When I told him I was allergic to too many things and couldn't use what they were selling, he gave me the third degree, asking if I was allergic to anything in the ingredients because they're ORGANIC. Dumbass...organic doesn't mean allergic people can use it. It means that if was grown without pesticides, etc. I'm still allergic to jojoba oil, organic or grown with pesticides.

Then he finally asked if I was allergic to vitamin C. Hi, idiot...my life and diet would be severely limited indeed if I was allergic to vitamin C. I'm sure some things are vitamin C free, but few and very far between. I just looked at him and told him that it would be a sad day in hell if anybody was allergic to vitamin C.

When I told my dad the story about how he cornered me and stood so close to me I could tell he had been drinking (I never, never smell alcohol on someone, but he was that close!), he got pissed. Said that as aggressive as I am (a high compliment from him), he's surprised I didn't punch the guy in the face and leave. Or at the very least call mall security or the cops. This guy was THAT aggressive. I told him no 10 times and still got cornered. I thought there was a 3 "no" rule. If someone says no 3 times, you have to leave them alone.

i know what you mean, SG. i'm allergic to trees and you wouldn't believe how many "anti-aging" and skin products contain willow bark - which is my #1 allergy...

I wasn't even allergic to it, except for the jojoba oil, but I told him I was allergic to everything. He informed me that nobody is allergic to rocks, so he used a warm volcanic rock to "help the moisturizer soak in better and deeper". I'm pretty sure someone somewhere is allergic to a rock. Just like I'm pretty sure someone somewhere is allergic to vitamin C. It just happens. A blanket statement like "nobody is allergic to rocks" just wreaks of stupidity.

The MRL's I saw today were beautiful. I was looking for matte so they were a bit too sparkly for me but stunning none the less.

I love the Archie Girl collection. I have a feeling I will be snatching some of that up. I limited myself to one lipstick and the 217 brush today.

It was hard
